Not allowing Lev 1 comment on Q&H

AuthorNot allowing Lev 1 comment on Q&H

this player is totally messing up with the Q&H
admins please make the rule so that pre lev 3s can only create topics not comment.

Just because of one player why should rest of players suffer? Besides I am quite confident these are same people:

i am not saying anyone will suffer with it, after all at lev 1 u dont really need to comment on something, f u r stuck just make a new topic to ask, and set the comment limit to at least lev 2.
They are the same.

To be frank, i wouldn't be comfortable getting my doubts cleared by a guy with -150k either.
The forum is "Queries and Help". And level 1s need it the most. So they need the ability to create threads. And hey, let "forum ruiners" be, that's what mods are paid for, not just for banning long string violators.

I agree with hallion.
No. One flooder does not justify limiting all level 1s from accessing that forum section. It is for people to ask for help and guidance and if they cannot get help and guidance when they join the game, then that is going to drive players away. Flooding is a consequence of having a forum and I do not agree that Q&H should have a level restriction.
-1000.

We are already suffering a crisis where we dont have active players. If the new guys get neglected, RIP LORDSWM
I agree with Corey and Hallion.
I agree with Corey and Hallion. and both of them totally misunderstood me unfortunately. I understand that they need to ask questions and thats exactly what i am saying :)
So they need the ability to create threads. yeah and all i am saying is to not let them comment, thats it, they can post questions and comment on their own threads of course, im just trying to propose the idea of them not being able to comment on others' questions, after all a lev 1 would NEED help, not provide help(in general). so u guys r getting me wrong but just to be clear it was nothing to be so hyped about, i respect your opinions but all i want is that you people at least understand what i mean, and if u have posted ur negative comments after understanding me its perfectly ok but seems like most of u misunderstood me.
To be frank, i wouldn't be comfortable getting my doubts cleared by a guy with -150k either. please comment if you have something to add, not just because you feel like insulting others. your comment seems utterly childish to me, nobody is competing here on who has more gold here and im not a fool to be continuing with this account, i am busy in real life and have been so for a few months now. oh and btw i had 10 times how much gold you have when i was in lev 6, oh and almost forgot about the tgi and arts worth 500k.
@corey they cannot get help and guidance when they join the game i mean they will be able to post question if they want, just not post on random topics :)
well u know i understand if u dont like it but we are all real people here and you dont know me so having -150k or +3 million doesnt reflect who i am so i would request you to respect each other :)

These incidents are far and few. Let moderators do their job. What if they have a follow up question? A clarification question? What if there is some kind of misunderstanding? Having them create a new topic each time they wish to speak would be annoying and cause more flooding. Completely unnecessary. If it bothers you that much, just don't look at the Q&A, not that it happens often anyways.

ok guys i get it :)
again, i was just suggesting an idea, not that anything bothers me, it deosnt make a difference to me. so i will just close this topic now ^^
Oh, sorry I missunderstood. Hmmm, don't know about just commenting. Since it's not allowed to hijack others' threads and new guys probably can't answer Q&H questions, I guess it would be fine.
Often players have flow-on questions that arise after the answer has been given to the original question, or want further clarfication. They should be allowed to do this without having to create a new thread. Flooders wanting to get around your suggestion would just create a new topic each minute to flood instead of commenting on others' threads.
More logical option to limit flood is to extend period of commenting for CL 1 and CL 2 players.

Instead of 1 min, they should be allowed to comment after 5 minutes. That way everyone is happy. This practice is widely followed across various forums on the internet, so why not implement it here as well?

Simply preventing users to comment will just induce more flooding and will cause a Boomerang Effect (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boomerang_effect_(psychology)) which refers to the unintended consequences of an attempt to persuade resulting in the adoption of an opposing position instead.

So just increase the time limit to decrease the frequency of posting continuously.

Hahaha, nice! I too feel the timer is unnecessary but probably the whole activeness of forums here doesn't tick me off! :D
