Of course you can try and pay to win, or not pay, not play and not lose :) Without lizards you will end up stuck at some boss or hero battle early on anyway. I know better and did not waste gold on the lg potion this time round. |
| to be fair LeG has been around a long time now, if you chose not to take part in that, then you cant expect to do well in an LeG based event |
I just know what it is: a pay to win guild. I do some battles but know what to expect from it. I'm simply not interested in the suposedly competitive mindset of that guild and event when the main competition is played on a monetary basis.
If you enjoy it then good for you, enjoy the event. |

I don't know why many still feel this way. LeG is perfectly doable without the "exclusive" donation troops. The challenges are more than doable with "normal" troops and even on auto. The donation troops will be extremely hopeful in clearing the "raid boss" and having a shiny achievement in your profile.
In my opinion, the few essential troops for LeG based events are magi and lizard.
My complaint is mainly the RNG factors when it comes to obtaining troops. |

I can safely say that past event I bought the lg 9 potion and was stuck at a level that anyone else beat with lizards or pikes. I will soon have blue troops but still won't get the precious lizards... So no, won't buy the potion just to be able to lose more money because I don't have the right troops. I've been doing enough of the daily battles to know there are a handful mandatory troops like xbows, wardens, lizards, rebels, the rest is just filler that performs a generic role. |

Pay to win to me is a system that try to get people that don't pay to play anyway, so that those who pay will have an advantage which is one of the incentives in paying.
But you are right, everyone is entitled to his own opinion. |

| It is only if they are ridiculously high that people who got them through donations feel vindicated that they invested their real money wisely. If you knew that you could get them cheap later, then a proportion of people who donate, would not bother, so less money for admins. |

Admins vaguely mentioned that that would be the approximate cost if you were to get that troop from doing regular battles. Might be a calculation around cpb and how many troops on avg you'd expect to get, then expected rolls when you reach 50k, all the way to that troop.
