maybe just not participate?
Not really an option for players who wish to remain active in the game. Participating is necessary for players who want to collect artifact parts. It's necessary also to participate if a player is a member of the guild because of clan competition/pressure and getting extra artifact parts from clan bonuses. If you're not collecting artifact parts then you have to pay high prices and deal with supply/demand issues for enchanted sets used in FFA events, which are also highly competitive and feel like nothing but a grind. There used to be a time when completing the main portion of an event was not made into a grind. | For me this was a successful event.
My costs for art durability including creature hunts: 121,385 gold.
My reward: 132,135 gold.
So I earned 10,750 gold + 9 elements.
Up to difficulty level 38, it was a walk in the park against any opposition, using mostly high-damage lowest tier creatures. | all in all i like this event, even when i was nit much successfull in it (highest kevek was 47 and i even could mot win my 96 battles within 144 tries)
But i cannot excuse this only with critics at the event, from the start i lost battles due to wrong setup, maybe also i was too stupid in some cases.
But there also was high inbalancing between factions.
Demon was easiest, knights and amphibian harder, but mostly doable (sometimes just insane), but barbs and undead where mostly insane.
I think, would be better to reduce barbs luck to 0, they have enough imba abilities, and also reduce luck and morale of knights and amphibians.
Maybe also should be more fun if we can choose between 2 or 4 battles to fight at each level as in other events. This would make it worth grinding for more troops for adequate setups and more strategic options, and the fights would not get only a game of luck with opponents. | For me I like the concept and principle, I do not mind the demand too much, though could do with being tweaked such that there were more builds that could cope with a greater variety of opposition. The enemies are too different in strengths and weaknesses such that no matter your build, you would come across some enemies that would walk all over you. My main concern was the grind of finding creatures, this needs to be less time consuming on aspects that give no interest, just annoyance. Just changing the increments of how long you have to wait would be nice (or get rid altogether) would just make it a bit more accessible, and less annoying to have to change your army.
Part of the reason for the difficulty is that people were forced to use army selections which we knew could be improved, but the time cost for switching was sufficiently large that we didn't do it. Consequence, frustrating battles which were harder to win. Sure there needs to be some of this to allow differentiation and give people the chance to feel like they earned that victory and high spot, just too much required in my opinion. |
