@elrond 20 diamonds maybe a little too much.. bring that down to 10 .. and that way you end up offending old customers ... who been spending already .. they dont get anything

That is often used in RL to offer special deals to newcomers. It would be unwise to offer forever 20% discount on diamonds for new customers but just 1 time bonus is acceptable.
The purpose is not to make everybody donate more because diamonds are cheaper but to make new players start donating, those who can donate but hesitate if it is worth it. |

Indeed. Either way I think admins can do this in a lot of ways for them to get profit. But perhaps they aren't sure if they can make a profit out of it.. Thats why they need to try it atleast one time with no promise of it returning. |
nobody's asking them to make any promises ... but a little experiment wont hurt them
if nothing else it'll at least increase sales for that 24 hour period
whether new players donate or not .. at least the old ones will keeping in mind that the deal might not come back
as a matter of fact if the admins are interested in hearing me out i'd like to suggest something to them ... better for them if i told it only to them :)
