Authorhalf money to hunter helpers
20.

For example, imagine that I helped you.
I never asked for help, so you wouldn't find anything in my transfer log. Still, I helped.

Would you share the loot with me or not? :)
I couldn't help you and vice versa.

You can only assist a player of the same combat level.

When you get to around 5 or 6 you'll find that you often need to ask for assistance to beat wandering monsters.

Have Fun

I KNOW that, thanks.
I have said IMAGINE, didn't I?
Pay Zero, I've sent about 50% gold to assistant hunters but severally received when I assist others.
And then, I met an idiot who seems cannot read my "ok" after he ask me "50% 50%?" during my hunt with his assistance.
He just went offline.

So why bother to pay, u don't know what kind of people u will meet.
Don't be an ass, it's a minor amount of gold. Just give half. It's about respect, someone helped you, be gratefull.
^^ I'll even pay 100 gold/hunt if there's someone put my name on assist but please confirm it first ^-^
Usually I pay for valuable hunt only for assisted me, such as over k goblins..etc
when i ask for help and people are so eager to show their power so that i will receive less than 0.20 skill points they wont receive coins from me. When they receive less than 0.20 skill points they will definately receive half the gold. Anything in between depends on my mood and if i think they did their job or not.
I never ask or give gold. That's my perogative and is the same for any person who does the same.

Calling anybody greedy for this is an opinion that is best kept to themselves.

I don't see anything in the battle page that says.."Hunters assistance needed - Gold must be given to helper"

This is optional - which means you can if you want and don't have to if you don't want to. I didn't even realise people had given me anything until about a week ago as it was the first time I checked the transfer log - thank you to those who gave me gold, it was much appreciated but never expected.

I give aid on about 90% of my fights and have only asked for help on about 1 single fight as far as I remember so me giving my services to anyone who needs it is more than generous in my opinion and in the spirit of the game.
I wish there were a way to automate this policy (in the character profile, for example). As it currentlt stands, I never did transfer gold, not knowing this was traditional, and there is no way I know of to review recent battles in order to find out who I should pay and how much...
Escrow for hunt assistance

why is good to gain skill points without increasing XP???

why is good to gain skill points without increasing XP???

Because when you level up, you can have a higher faction level than normal, and so be stronger as you were if you did not.
i agree
Like others here, I did not realize I had received gold after I assisted, assuming any increase in gold was from working and my own hunting. When I did look at the transfer log, I was a bit surprised at what people had done - they spent their hunt and only got about 1/2 the faction points they would have normally but still gave me money. They also got a small amount of experience, but by this time, I had realized that experience was a double edged sword.

Since realizing it's customary to split the gold, I have tried to do so. I think this custom of tipping the assisting hunter would be much easier for people to realize if SOME kind of notice from the game itself occurred when transfers have happened - or at least have the option to have such a notification. Just like when I get mail or there is a hunter requesting assistance in the same location as me, a little moneybag icon would be very helpful.

It's a bad thing if tipping becomes expected, but I am not sure how to avoid that.

What if at the conclusion of the hunt, the successful hunter gets a slide bar which lets him/her assign as much of the winnings as they wish?
as far as im concerned i dont pay people for my their assistance since i dont expect to be paid for helping someone when i offer my help when someone needs it
extorting money this way saying "i demand you pay me half" after you have offerd to help is absurd you get free skill points and the person who asks for help get less skill points. the skill points alone is enough payment for me and it should be everyone else to.

I help and i get help in return thats how the hunter aid system has been put up originaly the "unwritten rule" is just pure utter bullshit
