AuthorOpinion on BlindFold Tournament
i Don't like the level 5 tournament but that's a personal opinion of a demon. if i max out succubi and i go up against an elf of a wizard anywhere on the field i get destroyed, and most of the time i don't have enough hp to last. It's either initiative and damage or hp choice here, any tips?
This tournament was rather pointless and frustrating, then ultimately hilarious.

It reminded me of something I never really understood, why do people play these games or join a tournament like that if they don't have any intention of winning?
I think that this prize is too big to be given to only 1 or 3 players. if i got teamed out a several times what is the point then for me to continue playing. This FFI battles are more like a lottery... but i'm still playing
what is the point then for me to continue playing.

because u get alot more exp and skill points 4 it. that is the only reason that some people do these
My personal oppinion about this tournament is that if you want a shot at winning you have to plan alot. You have to gather a friend or many, and join up at the same time. You also have to have a "winner" decided in advance, so that the other can boost him through the tournament.

Let's say you're in a clan for example. Then it should be easy to gather at least 20 people that come online at the same time and join up. 3-5 of these players are already decided to be winners so they are left unharmed as much as possible, so that they will always recieve the "perfect score".

Anyway, as a lone participant you can't expect to win this sort of tournament since there will be people who follow that basic idea.

On the other hand, you could always just play the game for fun, laugh when you're triple-gangbanged and cry a little at the cost of the artifact-duration, then put on your gear again and charge out on the arena again.
Ready to die again. ;)

I did participate a little myself. Three battles, managed to gather one point.
Yeah, at first I was of course upset. I realised that I was gangbanged. I realised that people had set things up in advance. I read on the forum about people "cheating" in ways...
But then reality hit me and I remembered: It's just a game. I play this for fun. Of course I try to do well, but I don't have enough dedication to "be the best", so I'll have to come to terms with the fact that more dedicated players will take advantage of me.

So that's my oppinion. I got a little grumpy that I lost, of course, but I play this for fun. So this tournament I will have to let dedicated players win, because I can't compete with the dedication they have. I can only play it for fun.

A solid game-rule: Only do it if it's fun!
Hehe, you wont get much of this, when all team up against you. I finished battles with 500 exp, not because I was too defensiv, simply because I had only ogres in turn 3. :))
#66 was to misself.

@Agelage: For me its a game, too. Nothing that would disturb my sleep.

But on the other side its a sport, a competition.

Imagine a 100m race. One runner, maybe the best in the korean team, is doped and he wants to win. But you have trained long and can beat him if things run good. On the other hand there the other korean runners, that will get money if their star runner wins the season. They fall over your feet and trip you up. And so in the end you not only lose against the doped star runner - no - you fall down after the first 50m.

Got the point?
62

because 2nd is good for them, they didnt lose as last place
I agree. Making second place in every battle turns out better then attack to fast and get the risk to get crushed by other opponents.
Ah, with all that written up there, I must stress another point though. This time from a moderators point of view:

3.16. Contractual combats leading one of the parties to losing a priori is prohibited. A contractual combat supposes that one of the parties intentionally loses to the other for any reason different from having technical problems with access to the game. Instigation to losing a combat is also forbidden.

3.18. The Administration keeps a right to cease access to the game to any player who hinders the gameplay, deceives or swindles other lawful players.

This tournament was not meant as a team-tournament. Thus, contractual combats would fall under 3.16, and that in effect would also target 3.18 since other peoples gameplay would be hindered by such a feat.

This, however, is not up to me to decide. Nor is it my obligation to track down any of these offenses if there were any. So I will leave that subject to those that are suited to handle them.
MoonMay be only magi hero. ....So Magi rules don,t iu, not Knights...I know topic about Blinfold battles, and was quoted for avoiding confusion about main topic...hunt battles is just an example of who can deal more damage(at this level),.....so have better hunt records. Like iu supposed I won,t open a topic for giving opinion. And, yes unfortunately Elves receive lots of damage, over their units,...bcuz they deal more ranged damage??...sure not, a Knight probably deal same with 90+ crosbowmen or even more,.....but Elves have high initiative, their units can attack so fast,....and in level 8 even can raise some deaths....but I still think a Magi is much more dangerous.
Magi-hero can be beaten by elf, D.elf or barbarian.
Elf can be beaten by Knights, demons, D.elves, barbarian.
Knights can be beaten by magi, D.elves, demon (sometimes).
etc.
All balanced. All clear and good. At the negining of battle i see some chances for every hero in battlefield and choose who i'll be attack. If all fair - than its good and interesting fight. And even if i lost it - it was fun.
But some players want to win more than others and ready to get out honor and fair competition to get prize (who'll win) and some guaranted exp and SP (who'll get 2-nd place).

Well they'll win tournament and all comunity will know that "heroes".
(72)I wish it were right,....but Iu know it,s not that way....I´m almost agree with all opinions (almost...)....and surely admin. are seeing, the ways for better balanced tournaments, maybe this kind of tournament isn,t fair enough if we read all comments about it,...but there is only one way to improve it and is simply doing tournaments, seeing the problems, cheats, tricks, reading opinions, bad or unloyal tactics,...all we said here basicly.

Next tournament should be most fair then, (at least I hope),...
Well I loved it. I have won my first four or five fights which gave me an amazing experience boast, after that things toke went downhill.

Sure some players had rare unseen tactics which could be called cheating or ganging but I surely have enjoyed it and can't wait until the next one comes around.

Note: After I finely finish this one that is ;)
i think on 3-4 lvl must win necros naturally, 5-6 necros( sometimes de wiz 5 sp and 4 knowlendge) , 7 lvl.... let me think... de with 2nd up or barbarians, 8-9 lvl.... dont know
8 lvls - knights.
9 lvls - one from clan "CZ&SK Team". They often fight in team. Especially Maia and marked_one.
On lvl 9 its not nesesary what faction are you. To low players. some clans have 1 9 hero, some 2. And "CZ&SK Team" has 4 such heroes :\
Our clan have 3 but we didnt teamed up.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
