AuthorAll about Knight faction: Stats, Talent, Tactics, Strategy
Any level 12 Knights tried talents:

Expert darkness
Escort
Fallen Knight
Dominion of pain

and magic build, like 25 SP and 6 knowledge?
It would be around 130-140 damage per turn of poison.
u wont be able to fight necro/wiz/bar - and elf also has dispersion
yeah, but you have that problem with every poison build. the knight poison build seems exceptionally strong, especially with guardian tanks to last longer, and fallen knight for +5 sp for poisoning.
well, poison built still work on elf. most elf dont go magic path hence their hero doesnt much Sp. rate of success on dispersion is depend on talent mastery and Sp.

although sprite has dispersion, but you can just finish up the sprite with xbow or allied unit before cast poison. the only problem on elf is the unicorn, aura of magic proof could weaken your poison effect on multiple target.

yes, that's the down sides of dark knight, your major dmg spell - poison will less effect on barbarian; wiz almost immune it; while nerco is totally immune poison.

IMO, dark knight could make use of confusion and weakness to harm opponents. i just have to try to get in that lv to test it out LOL

i dont know how much Sp you had invest on. since you got dominion of pain, you can make good use of mass dis ray. save the talent points from escort and fallen knight and invest on other. make good use of dis ray, it is perm reduce def until end of battles; also, it doesnt need Sp to improve the effect.
Any strategies on wizards from level 3 - 5?

Haven't seen any posts with tips with regard to the wizard faction?

Thanks in advance guys.
I'm looking for advice on talent advice for a knight. Basically, what talents are what in a battle, for instance, the red bit of the wheel is obviously an offensive talent set, so they'd be using offense. Particularly, is the yellow part (Holy magic it seems to be), a viable set?

And as a secondary question, are the four primary attributes that big a deal in the long run? I think I may have misplaced a stat point or two, and I want to know how much damage has been done.

Thanks in advance.
1-2 points won't do you much harm. As long as you haven't misplaced like 5 or more you should be fine, and you can always use the oblivion potion to reset them.

About talents, I'm not sure exactly, as I'm demon, I'll let knights answer that one ;)
Ah, so there IS a restat option in this game, ok.

I'll probably reset them anyway because I'm like that, but thank you for the advice anyway. :p
Ever since Ive leveled up to level 9 Ive been losing ambush after ambush, At level 8 i would win one and lose a couple then win a couple but now its like i can only win 1 out of 10.

(note: i have been ambushing min arted ever since thief guild 2)

I am here because i need help with new tactics or something that will help me win more :P

(Note: Do not suggest full arted because i don't want my ambushes impossible where it takes months to even get close to beating them again)

My original setup is something like this and that's toward all caravans. https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=481234107&lt=-1
As of talents i started out with Vitality + Rally but that didn't seem to work, so i changed to Battle fury + escort + basic leadership and that's where i only won 1 out of 10...

Any advice? (i am open to screenshots of better settlement.)
Hiya fellow lvl 9 knight.

I have been doing lots of ambushes myself and to be frank, you really won't have much hope to win most of the caravans regardless of tactics and placements etc. The jump in TG caravans' difficulty from 8 to 9 is just too great.

Take it this way: I would rather invest in a tad more arts (don't have to go FULL art), but then lose 9/10, coz at the end of the day, you'll end up paying more --> Lose ambush = No gold reward + Waste of arts per battle cost.

But if u really wanna go the route you chose, then well. there's nothing wrong with your talent build (Battle Fury + Escort + Basic Leadership). As for placements. it really depends on the types of caravan u are facing, or if it's a human player. Reading up on the Ambush thread #1-3 posts might help.

Good luck. :)
8-9 is a tough break, since only get like 1 more tier 5 and not much else, while caravans get 20% more. At least 9-10 you get guardians which I bet will help you so much you'll be crying or something :D

I don't get it... if you are trying to lose, then I would go with min AP arts.

Even with the best full arts at lvl 9 I found that I lost a majority of ambushes. So I gave up amubushing and restarted at lvl 10. As Xerfer said, the guardians really do help a lot. At level 10 I was able to make many caravans run out of ammo.

I don't think Decrous is trying to lose :p

Anyway, the going is much tougher for me now at lvl 9 than when I was lvl 8 for sure, but I still manages about >50% win ratio win good arts (Not full and best arts though, like still just using a Defender Shield etc). So basically, it's doable.

And while not saying it's the best method, or that any of you fellow (knight) players should follow, my mindset when I do things is never give up, though I must admit I did thought about giving up till I get to level 10 before starting again.
for Pantheon:

Im not trying to lose :P im trying to keep it where my ambushes are possible (if i go full arted for a long time then it will take months to years to get it possible again) while progressing in the thief guild while saving gold.

for Jedi-Knight:

by "better arts" What arts do you mean.

_
I may end up waiting until i level up to start thieving but we'll see. Depends on if anyone gives me helpful advice :P
Well, I would suggest Steel Helmet, Cuirass, Boots, SoM/SoR, & Defender Shield as minimum.

If budget permits, maybe an Amulet of Luck and Cape of Wind (for them nasty lightning spells that 3 of the caravans deal).

But if the going gets too tough, or if you are short on gold, then one might wanna consider putting off till lvl 10, if what some of the players saying it's easier is true (I wouldn't know since I'm just a lowly lvl 9, and not lvl 10 yet. haha..)
for Jedi-Knight:

Well thats what i would call full arts lol.

Well i guess ill just wait until level 10 and train barbarian and knight in the meantime.
I think I'll narrow my remaining question down a bit, and that is, are there any specific talent "sets" to avoid? And any that are particularly good? If there aren't any/there's a way to reset talents somehow, say so.

Thanks in advance. (again :p)

Uhmm.... 9/10 is what I call losing on purpose. If you are going that far, I'll just wear min AP arts and lose 10/10.
At level 8 i would win one and lose a couple then win a couple but now its like i can only win 1 out of 10.

Just quoting what Decrous posted, my friend. :)
