I would probably have liked a purchable item more... Like those that are available in the "present-shop".
Valentine-card, only usable during valentines-day, +1 morale.

Or possibly an event where you have to protect Cupid from scorned lovers of various races. You could have the creature Cupid on your side, and battle against NPC-heroes from various factions. Or possibly some other weird creature conjured during the valentine just to oppose cupid.

But well, this was fun too.
