AuthorDiscussion: The Chronicles of Skunder
231. wow a message all by urself, and skunder didnt even have to pull ur arm or bribe u or anything. impressed.

First, -_-

Next, you never had to before :P, just had to get my attention lol.
another great ending to current part though I wonder what the names on the tablets are. lol anywho I wonder if Gilric could have survived against deep Hydras if that was the guardian of the tablet even better black dragon guarding the tablet. though if it was black dragon he might have died. anyways there are a few grammars but not noticeble if you don't look closely. but all in all it was worth the waiting and sorry I'm so late to respond work kept me busy lol
240.
Gilric may not have the flare of the others, but he has an endurance that lets him take harder hits and continue on. His resolve and ability to get the junk kicked out of him and keep fighting is what makes him valuable to the group. Besides, he took on a dang hydra and lived (not that I didn't say 'and won').

241.
*poke* ok got ur attention.

242.
thanks arikos, that's what I needed, one more person pointing out my faults on a self-edited, non-profitable, in my free time project. My confidence is lfted. =P

btw, names on tablet = members of the Infernal Circle. specifically, not going to say nor do I care to write out all of them (>1000), though Guilm has already 6-7 of them himself.

overall though, thanks for ur post(s)!

any last ideas of what you the readers would like to see in the upcoming events? Such as details in the knight/wizard battle, what the heck the Army of the Elves means, and/or what Cyrallin and Gilric are going to have to do with the tablet? No promises, but I'd love to hear them.
well for me I would like too see more abilities from each faction since at the moment we know and see so little of what the other faction can do. Anywho skund I thought there was only like 6 names on tablet and each names are like the war lords of hell which controls the generals of the demon army and that we only seen or read of a couple of demon generals that have been slain. Plus I was thinking if you know one of the name and have the tablet you could control mainy generals and their armies. well for example lets say there are 6 arch devil lords who control 6 generals each and each general control his own army but he is still a part of the arch devils main army if you know what I mean. anywho thats all I got for right now will post more if other stuff get to my head.
amazing .......
+ 1 to you !!
Final update of the Chronicles of Skunder coming soon. Quite a bit longer than the rest, and so, yes, it is taking a bit longer as well.

FYI, it is more than 50% completed now. And I will be adding some new posts to the discussion between now and then about some interesting CoS facts and such. Maybe in a prize format for who REALLY knows the details of the CoS.

Anyways, for those of you being lazy, nows the time to catch up on your reading and finish it up.

Talk to you soon

Seriously guys, i dont mind a message for either 'for' or 'against' the story, but a MESSAGE itself would be nice.

so anyways, as i said, here's a few things to try to find out:

1) True or False. Can you find anywhere within the CoS that Skunder has used measurements (feet, inches, meters, miles, kilometers, etc) ? If so plz list the post number.

2) Early on in the story Skunder (me) made a boo-boo, when he (I) didn't edit properly. He (I) misspelled one of the secondary characters almost entirely througout one of the entries. Can you find out who it was and what Entry he (I) made the mistake.
Hint: It's in Part 1, before Skyn'Da, Guilm, and Janneria meet up with Sir Gilric and Cyrallin.

3) What creature killed the messenger elves that Guilm met in the plains of Thurlmolan right after Skyn'Da was teleported away and Janneria was killed by Ahnkabar? It was described but never named.
1. Post 81
[q]falling to their deaths many hundreds of feet below.[/q]
Post 83
[q]Skyn’Da and the others stood there now, still a few hundred feet above where they thought the dark pit became solid ground.[/q]
Post 52
[q]Guilm gave a tight squeeze to her hand while bowing to thank her, then turned to the elven camp some miles away.[/q]
Everyone who studied physics can also find out that there were a lots of time measurements in the text:
[q]It resisted – for only a second...[/q]

[q]Radiating brighter with each passing second.[/q]

[q]Hours later they reached the foot of the rock formations.[/q]
and so on.
2. Actually you've got a lot of misspellings. Look at your 3rd question:
[q]Ahnkabar[/q] =)
3. Demon creature it was.
@250

1) Yes, though I wasn't referring to 'time' as a measurement as it is consistent throughout. Though the majority of the CoS is without physical measurements for the simple fact that transferring from different measurement systems is too time consuming for the reader. However, as you've pointed out, I've left a few in there on accident.

* Your reward is on its way!!

2) Not an answer to the question. And the "CoS: Discussion" is not included as a part of the story.

3) Yes. A demon, but what kind?? The description should be enough to name it.

Questions #2-3 are still open.
The CoS has been updated with Entries 89-114 ready to read, and with every story, there comes an ending. This is no exception. The Chronicles of Skunder is now completed in this update. I look forward to your responses.

P.S. I thought to add a few keys for the reading, as follows:

IMPORTANT CHARACTERS OF THE CHRONICLES OF SKUNDER
Akkarin – one of the former elven councilors, killed during the Demon/Elf War
Anhkabar – demon lord who killed Janneria
Arazanos – Demon Overlord, Cyrallin controlled him to bring the demon army to war
Balkaan – the traitor councilor, told he would gain the entire elven kingdom to rule if he allows the demons to enslave them.
Cyrallin – the wizardess of the wizard nation, she is betrothed to Gilric.
Dominix Elvari Khuthra – ruler and queen of the Dark Elves, led the DE army to war
Enithian – Commander of the elves during their occupancy in Thurlmolan
Gilric – the knight betrothed to Cyrallin of the wizard nation. He is gallant and foolhardy, and a bit over zealous and caught up in the romance of things
Gladestel – former High Councilor of the elves, slain during the Demon/elf War
Golem Guardian Statue – a gigantic statue controlled by the wizards which comes to life in their time of need
Guilm – an outgoing elven Forest Keeper in love with Janneria. Tends to go all in when he is involved – driven by emotion.
Infernal Circle – The governing force of the demon overlords (7 have been killed by Guilm by the story’s end)
Janneria –elven bow-woman, slain by Ahnkabar the demon
Kh’Everst – Emissary of the Dark Elves
King Archaelum – High Wizard of Thurlmolan
King Avrian – King of Larklan
Pryvius – Quetlisse’s father, an elven diplomat elder

IMPORTANT PLACES OF THE CHRONICLES OF SKUNDER
Arbortarium – government building/tree of the elves
Aukzale Fortress – Larklan prison, where Gilric was held by his father
El’atrazhoul – Dark Elf city, named after the tribe Alzhoul when they were surface elves
Fields of Larklan – where the final battle is fought, between Larklan and Thurlmolan
Larklan – knight kingdom
Orborin – capital city of Larklan
Thurlmolan – wizard kingdom
for Skunder:

For 2nd question the answewr is : “But Gladestel, there is no reason why we must all waste away in the library while these dangers persist.” Akkrain pleaded. “Surely it requires no more than just one …”

U wewe right tehre are lots of them but this is just one :)
for question 3:
it was an incendiary
253 and 254. Yup congratz!! a prize for your diligent eyes is on its way.

...so havent gotten back any feedback yet...whether good/bad/sorrowful/angry/etc. Anyone got an opinion out there? =)
Had another thing to say b4 i log for the day...

Just wanted to get people's opinions about other CoS topics that I had thought of while writing the original. These new topics would of course have to be written as new threads...titles and descriptions written below. Let me know what you think:

"CoS: In Death's Grip" - rise of the Necromancers from the ranks of wizards!!

"CoS: The Goblin King" - an invasion and defense against the Barbarians..
for Skunder:

Guilm's death was just undramatic and plain -______-

"CoS: In Death's Grip" - rise of the Necromancers from the ranks of wizards!! Sounds good

"CoS: The Goblin King" - an invasion and defense against the Barbarians.. Start this first =)
"CoS: In Death's Grip" - rise of the Necromancers from the ranks of wizards!!

yes start with this
I want to say overall it was great story and I look forward to others from Skunder. However, I was confused the first time I saw "Lorekeepers." I was thinking of the upgraded magi Lorekeepers, and I couldn't see what secret they would hold that would be of such great importance and spoken of in the Chazr Daemonium. Maybe it's just me, but I wasn't thinking of Lorekeepers as the Keepers.

Guilm's death was rather bland, but I suppose that's what happens with the greatest heroes. They always escape war and battles etc to either die a bland death of old age at home, or they escape all the battles and attacks to them, only to "jump in front of the bullet" to save someone else.

Something else I would've hoped to see would've been the inclusion of the dark elves in later events, such as diplomatic etc. Shunning them completely just gives them fuel to rise again. (but maybe that's Skunder's plan) If they rise again, there will be a great storyline for how the unborn wizard/knight baby becomes emperor.

Another thing I thought would happen is I thought Cyrallin would destroy the tablet so that there would never be temptation for ANY race to again rule the demons, become overcome by the great power available to him/her as the ruler of Thurlmolan, and do this again this time with the wizards being the bad guys. The tablet is only copper, it can easily be melted down. Or better yet, leave it with the demons, or melt it in their fires so that it's not melted down, used to make something, and still have its powers (thus granting every person who has a piece of that copper reign over some demon troops, whichever members of the Infernal Circle were written on the chunk of copper that was used in their armor, weapon, etc.)

I look forward to a sequel of the Chronicles of Skunder, as in the next chapter with Gilric's and Cyrallin's child, and how he became Emporer. I think it would make a great next edition.

However, I do like the current idea to continue with the necromancers. But I'm not sure if they should rise from the wizards or the elves. If you think about the necromancer's magic, it's mostly earth magic. Necromancers in general (whether be it in LWM or any other setting) normally have a strong bond with nature and darkness. Perhaps they should rise from the Dark Elves? Dark elves should still have a connection with nature due to their elven ancestry, but they also have a very strong connection with the darkness. At the same time, it will be YOUR story to tell how you want.

Of course, I could tell you how necromancers would come to be if we were talking about a strictly human world based on our current history, but that's a completely different story.

Perhaps my mind just thinks of too many possibilities, but I don't have the time to think of a whole story or write it out or anything. Take my ideas, if you choose, Skunder and write your own stories.
Yay Chronicles of Skunder

Me likey.
