but she used wolves rather than hobs, equipped some ini-boosting arts and have some other faction level

Nothing is the best! It is up to you! (^^)
However, with "jambronk arts", it is too weak to do in thief, barb is definitely not a good faction in thief ambush . That why you lose lots of battle. I am also lose lots of them too. However, if you have a good arts, you still have a chance to win!
In my opinion, you should start to do thief as much as you can in level 8, 10.
Level 9 and 11 are too hard for barb. This is my exprience!
I dont have condition to do thief in level 6,7 so I dont know. :)
With barb talents, offense and battle furry always are your first choice.
Fortune is in some easy hunt.
Retribution is in hard hunt and thief
Medal of bravery
Ring of inspiration
Steel equipments
Dragon shield
Sword of might
Longbow
Finally, when you reach level 10, and you have some money, you can use cold blade + Fortune with the top arts like
Signet-ring of might
Light mithril coif
Warrior pendant
Platemail
Longbow
Mithril longsword
Light mithril boots
Tower shield

and sorry your level 4
start shootting the bowmen with orcs. Then wait for the griffen to come to you keeping hobgoblins and orcs out of reach. Then bash the swordsmen with everything you have |

max hob will take care of it. just wait until their unit come close to yours. and never attack griff with hob unless you sure you can kill it.
basically
your ogre vs their griffin
your orcs vs their bowmen and griff
your hobs vs their swordsman |
The following tactics always help me win again knight at lv5,6,7
cuz their griffins can only attack 1 orge, are your archers are stronger. So finish their bowmen first, if griffin come near, shoot griffins.

i guess i was lucky back there.
now i don't ambush with hob as my main troops. i don't know if it's true or not but i got harder ambush when i used hobs as my main troops.
for comparison:
necro -> hobs=4x10+ vamps/vamp lords, wolf=skelbow/death envoy with mix of many little stack of vamps and zombie
demon -> hobs=4x20+ cerberi with devil/hell horses sometimes, wolf=mistress/hell horses with mix of many little stack of spawn and incendiary
it's just my luck or not you can try it yourself. try changing your recruit composition. |
