what is the best troop layout for a lvl5 wizard who has no magic school
for Bosten365:
Max Magis -> Max Golems -> Max Gargoyles -> No grems (even if u have 1 grem left dont use it, split magi fully instead)

after you get magic school
Max Magis/Gargoyles(Magis still recommended because you have low racial) -> Max Golems -> No grems
I have a question.. I was looking at the tier 5 creatures and I realized genies are the worst at stats.. why are wizards in disadvantage?
Genies are worst at stats if you count 1 , but after we get treasury at level 9 - the number of genies you can get is considerably bigger compared to other factions :P [ for example at level 12 i can get maximum 20 genies while as DE i can get 12 hydras ] and that fact along with mini arts makes the genies actually one of the best tier5 creatures in the game.
oh, I didn't know that. I thought all factions have something like 'treasury' to increase their number of tier 5 troops. thanks ;)
In fact, most factions get no new building on level 9...so by then, genies number is comfortable...
Then.. I can't wait to be level 9 :D But it's a long way to reach there. First, I have to level up to 7..
Only other faction that gets new building for extra t5 troops is demons - they get +1 to base recruiting of hell horses ( genies increase is +2 ).

67: Don't rush with gaining levels as wizard :P most important thing is your racial and your gold ( = mini arts ).
1. If I make mini-arts and then switch faction will my mini-arts still exist if i swap back?
2. If I have 13 golems and equip them with mini arts, then lvl up and want to recruit more golems-I have to dismantle them and recruit new, then make some new or is there any other variant?
for 2 you can just make more of the same type of mini art which u already have rather than dismantling the ones you have already made as long as you make enough for each golem to 1 art each upto a stack total of 30 :)
1. yes all building and mini art will still be there
2. Just make more of the same type of mini art as the number of golems.
Just got to level 7 and have been in Thieve's guild for a while. Wasn't all that bad with level 6 ... managed to get enough victories even though number of defeats was bad. But at level 7 its startung to look impossible.

Faction skill level is not bad at all.
Talents are Basic and Advanced Erudition. I am not sure increased Mana pool would have helped in both these battles. Am I commiting huge tactical bluders?
Any tips so I can proceed with thieving. I am running out of time to return the TGI :(
And 2 more queries please ... why is it that Gargoyles get damaged badly by lightning cast by DE whereas their lightning resistance protects them from Lightning of Wiz. And why in last fight above the Golem kept gaining speed from 4 to 5 to 6 which made it impossible for me to win.

1_ that because dark elves have magic peircing so they can deal magic damage even with resistence
2_because in hunt after 10 turns the hunted creaturs gain 1 speed

1st caravan at some point you attacked with golems ( 11x damage i think ) 4 zombies instead of skeleton archers - and also would block the archers.
2nd caravan is just hard for wizard at your level because of magic resistant genies and golems in there - some caravans will be like this.

In general you need to use better gear than this - your stats are too low for caravans, especially defense. Also use intellect instead of advanced erudition, the extra mana along with 4-5 more defense ( easy to get with a couple of rather cheap steel items ) will make you more successful [ first fight if you had 13-14 defense and 60 mana even with 1 less spellpower you would have won ]

When you level all caravans become 20% harder so it's a bit natural to get some problems compared to level 6 :)

One more thing about first caravan now that i watched it again:

If you are going to block shooters in necro caravans you must make sure infected zombies DONT hit your gargs. 0/0 gargs die too easily. In that caravan if you want to block you must kill all infected zombies first then go close. Otherwise just put gargoyle to corner ( out of skeleton range ) and defend there - damage taken will be like 10% of what you got in that fight :P

Try this tactic next time vs necro:

- Kill vampires first and try to step on them with gargoyles.
- Kill ghosts and if he raises immediately kill again with spell.
- Completely ignore skeleton bowmen just stay far away from them / zombies can be killed if any with through shot like you did.

As long as u got mini arts and good defense skeleton archers cant do much from long range - ghosts and vampires kill you
