That would be in contradiction with the game rules. And those rules regarding the exchange of real money for the in-game properties between the players are to prevent people of getting rich in real life getting advantage from somebody else work. Those rules are coming from many years of experience in the web oriented MMG. |

There is a way to buy diamonds without real money from the game dealer (search for character: Dealer). |

if there was an official feature introduced for doing this, then it would be exchanging diamonds for in game gold, diamonds aren't real money, they are an in game resource.

They still need to buy them with real money, the point of this suggestion is to create diamonds via using gold, the idea in #19 is a feature to trade the diamonds they have already purchased to another player in return for gold, this way no diamonds are 'created' by in game gold, they are still bought by people for ˆ1 per diamond, but then that person has the option to sell them using the implemented feature suggested to other players for the other players gold, it still kindof defeats the purpose of diamond upgrades, but the game creators wouldnt lose any income because of this, they would possibly gain more, and prices would probably make it expensive enough for the cost of diamond upgrades to be 2-4 times greater than buying them with resources (albeit they'd have them earlier than usual) |
sry dariem, but it seems that u have no brains -.- sry :D |

No it wouldnt be, as long as diamonds cannot be made back into real money, they are in game-property like any other.
But this idea was already here. And I remember Arctic himself explaining, "diamonds are token of gratitude from administration for voluntary donating money to finance server and development, they wont be object of any in game-trade."
I wont come to call anyone stupid, the player can be without diamonds just fine, if Kusika didnt need any, neither do you. |
simmiler idea, why not have a market place for dimmonds and there is a minimum price per dimmond |
Another Idea
I see in other games the admins periodically offer incentives to purchase
their "diamonds".
They can offer for one weekend a 10% or 20% bonus on thier purchase,
ie buy 100 diamonds and receive 110 or 120 diamonds.
Not all the time just once every couple of months or on Holidays.
They could also increase the exchange rate periodically also.
I think this would increase revenue for game as well as help the people without much money for diamonds |

if this goes through it will not be a free online game anymore |
If regulated properly I think the idea suggested in #19 could work. There is an online game called puzzle pirates which uses this system (Doubloons instead of diamonds). The number of diamonds is completely regulated by however many people purchase them using real money. Since this is probably a low number if you want to use in game gold to exchange for diamonds this would be a higher price than the current exchange of ~3000gold. This I believe would mean there are 2 reasons to buy diamonds - firstly to upgrade creatures, secondly to exchange for gold for castle upgrades.
If this causes more sales of diamonds then the admins would potentially have more resources to be able to keep things more up to date.
However, given the time and effort to implement this sort of venture I would imagine that the admins would have other areas with more worth to their time and effort. |
They could also increase the exchange rate periodically also.
exchange rate is not for lords to decide, it's decided via whichever payment method is used, usually paypal

How do you come to this conclusion? the thread is all about getting diamonds via gold, gold is earned by enrolling, which is free to do, so it would still be a free game, but it would reduce the perks of diamond upgades due to people being able to have access to these diamonds via gold |
best of the worst idea I've ever seen. |

terrible idea. one of the worst. |
I think only limited amount of diamonds should be sold for gold.
For example:
1) it could be done through auction
2) and only 1 diamond per week,
3) with starting price 100000 for 1 diamond.
Another way is lottery:
1) players buy 1 ticket for 1000 gold
2) when 10000 tickets is sold then the lucky player is randomly chosen
3) the winner gets 1 diamond
(i.e. only 1 diamond per 10 million gold will be given) |

I like your idea. But 1 diamond is only worth 2500 gold. Even if you compare diamond value to hunter license or TGI, 1 diamond would not reach anywhere near 100k or 10kk. |
#34
That's his point. Diamonds should not be easily obtained if they could be obtained this way. I think 100k is too low. too many people have more than that.
Maybe 10 million per diamond? And only 1 per player per month? |
you messed up on the title it should be: worst idea for the game |
