| i still look at masterTI as a master. even if he cheated in the past he still has gotten to level 14 with hard work. so stop being mean to masterTI he knows what he's done was wrong. forget the past and move on to the future. im sure most of all the players in .com have cheated at least once in this game. it might not of even been in this game. but i hope most of you cheaters in .com have learned what you did was wrong and will never do it again. im just sad for all the cheaters right now still cheating even though they know it is wrong. and MasterTI you still rock .com cause of all your hard work. |
MasterTI is the greatest person in this game and even if he has cheated he is still the Greatest here.

there are plenty of people who dont cheat, and as for the argument of it not helping much. can i create a multi and just send myself a couple hundred a day and then when i reach a very high level calculate to show everyone it didn't help that much?

Indeed you are correct. I have always hated cheating even as a young lad and I know plenty of others who feel the same way. People who apologize after they have been caught are not to be held in the same light as those who realize they are wrong and turn themselves in, facing the penalty. Don't say that doesn't happen either. Murderers have turned themselves in because the guilt was so heavy. I am not equating a game with murder before anyone gets crazy but saying that even the worst crimes that bring the harshest penalty imaginable in real life still find some who own up to their wrongdoings before they are caught. If you were a judge in some hypothetical situation and you had two people with the same crime, one who was caught and the other who turned themselves in out of guilt, it is fair to say you would probably be more apt to go lighter on the one who admitted guilt. He should have a lighter sentence.
Most of this was done before the AP rule(correct me if I am wrong) so it cost nothing in arts to go from 1-8th level. 20k gold is nothing if you calculate the cost of arts from those battles under today's AP rules.
Stop the hero worship. It is sickening.This sort of thing is now the culture of the day.Paris Hilton is followed around all day and night and for what? Because she was born rich? I watched this during the Obama campaign, people fainting in front of him and crying when he speaks. Now look what happened. They elected a star instead of an able leader and he is now leader of the free world so to speak! This is a dangerous thing, hero worship.We are all just people and all can fall from grace so don't place anyone on some lofty perch or you may be disappointed if he/she fails. My sons used to play Runequest and they told me when the number one player was online, hundreds of players would follow him around the map and I saw it with my own eyes. It could have been some 12 year old kid who still wets the bed but these people treated him like a god. I saw the same thing in Travian, the hero worship of a player by the community. MasterTI is a great player no doubt but leave it at that.Stop degrading yourselves by constantly complimenting someone to the point of it being nauseating. People in LOS clan think our leader( limustudotcom)is a great guy but we don't fawn all over him in the clan chat room.In fact we all hit him pretty hard every day(in fun) and he gives it right back to us.
I never understood why some people stand outside the building for the Oscars just to look at movie stars. I just don't get it. Young kids in school will do anything to be in the popular group. Those on the outside sometimes allow it to take over their lives. Respect yourselves and you will find that others will respect you for being your own person, rather than trying to gain respect and attention by constantly complimenting those you admire. Nothing wrong with admiring someone as long as you don't get carried away with it.
If you ask MasterTI and he is honest about it, I bet he is sometimes bothered by all the attention he gets during his battles from the chatters who come to tell him how great he is. He can't fight battles and relax in peace because he is the top player. I watched a few of them myself and saw his fanclub in action. "Yay MasterTI!" is a typical post you will see there. Leave the guy alone to play in peace for heaven's sake. All the cheering is not needed and probably not wanted either. |

The above is true...It does really annoy me to the point i wont fight for the rest of the day...The only reason i still do battles during my day time is because alot of my friends are online at that time. If they werent on i would only fight at times there were 400-500 people online.

I am NOT the best end of story...I don't think there is a single best person. Its personal opinion, i don't see there being one best at anytime. I would say there is the best at there faction or level or even certain types of combat. Its what you like to the most.

And there you have it. Did you all read the part where he is telling you how annoying it is when you go to his battles and disturb him? Go and watch in silence and maybe at the end, tell him good game or whatever. Stop slobbering over him. The MasterTI fan club take note...your hero is annoyed by your worship. Remember that applies in the real world also. Don't be that guy who tells the boss how great he is and laughs loudly at all his jokes(even when they stink). Your peers will despise you for it and your boss won't respect you. Do it to your gf and she will leave you for sure. Why do you think some movie stars go around in disguise or become recluses? Because eventually they can't stand all the attention. They no longer have any sort of normalcy and their popularity becomes their prison. You like MasterTI and admire him? Then do as he asks and leave him play in peace so he can once again enjoy his game.
Why did I spend time on this? Because as I stated before, this hero worship has gone so far as to influence presidential elections and that has a direct effect on the whole world! If you think it doesn't than you do not understand life yet. We have yet to find out the depth of this mistake and I fear it will have horrible consequences for the world. |

Other mods coming to the defense of someone with status or any other mod who did wrong should recuse themselves from the conversation. That is what being impartial is all about. Let the gaming community hash it out. Circling the wagons makes it seem that you are not able to be an impartial person and damages your reputation as a moderator. That is the ethical thing to do. A judge would not be able to hear the case of his own family member or friend.

If you are going to join the conversation, please get your facts straight.
It was 4 months of staged battles, not one week. Let me make it clear that at least half of the staged battles(probably more) were in favor of Countess and others,where MasterTI gained nothing at all. He did not gain exp from all those links and the exp total isn't really the point of it anyway.

Here in NJ USA we just had 44 men arrested for money laundering, including mayors of 3 towns and rabbis along with other prominent businessmen. Their lives are ruined because their greed and dishonesty caught up with them. This is only a game here and it is a great place for all of us to learn a lesson. There is no doubt that MasterTI would go back and play it properly if he could because he feels bad about the situation and it is hardly worth what was gained.
I sometimes have had to apologize to my own sons for being wrong in certain situations. Some people never are able to grow up enough to admit they are wrong. Things can come back to haunt you from your past. A one night stand can bring a knock at your door 20 years later with a stranger saying " Hi dad" out of nowhere. It happens.
As a parent you will get questions about your past from your kids so your past does continue to come back at you until it is cleared. Have to tell them the truth and it is difficult sometimes,owning up to your prior mistakes.
I have too many on my own list. ( when I was a Democrat he he)

I just simply agreed with certain points which were brought up and was mainly talking to those players throwing insults at him for one mistake he made months ago. The only comment which was meant for you was when i told you he does not mod forums, only QaH and therefore cannot ban anyone here.
As for Free your mind from your friendship for a second. comment, did you even know that I was the one who gave him that gold penalty upon seeing the complaint? MasterTI is one of my closest friend in the game, but friend or not, trust me when I say that I do step outside of that friendship zone when it comes to cheating and will ban/fine anyone.
Get your facts right before saying things which you don't know about.

And why do you think it's such a big deal? Isn't it obvious? He is the number one player and draws the most attention in the game. I mean there are threads about MasterTI vs. Empire for goodness sakes!
You may be able to be impartial but in any situation where the person in power is to judge the actions of a friend or family member, it isn't done.Hearings where a business is involved in a judge's district where said judge has shares of that business,an outside judge must be called in to hear the case. Have you ever heard of non-partisan panels for investigations? They are set up to maintain impartiality, no matter what anyone claims about how impartial they are or would be. You can claim what you want but it still shouldn't be allowed. It is unethical. That is just a fact. You are the judge and also his close friend. If you can't see the need to separate yourself from that situation for appearance sake then I don't know what to tell you but it isn't ethical at all, thank you very much. That is not my opinion but how the world operates in a democracy. |
