stop whining already. if you don't like wizards, change faction. imo, wizards are the most powerful faction, but they require a lot of patience. and they're easiest to play
The talent is called dominion of fire, and it+3rd level chaos spells=24talent points, and knight gets for 21talent points basic holy+renunciation+fireproof!

ehm, taking fireproof require 28 points not 21, because we can't take 2° circle without advanced magic.

same goes for endurance, with prerequisites it cost 28 points.

The irony, no one ever take endurance or fireproof, it would be like me( might knight at the moment) complaining about .. magic mirror, like it affect me, lol

Guys, chill out. To me at level 8, most things are already balanced, and I think thats the same at high levels, no? Cause I mainly suffer from speedy melee units like shrews and magic like magis, otherwise I feel knights are pretty much balanced to other factions. Endurance to me is like stoneskin: GREAT effect, but just not much time to use it as I rather cast a rapid or bless for either swords of xbows.

The irony is, its all just a game with its special characteristics. Enjoy it the way it is =)

this is just silly... Of course each faction has something others don't! that's because they are DIFFERENT!
This topic makes me think that some players want this server to have only one faction - then it will be balanced for sure lol :)
Example: for Level 7 , all function having 20 talent points
Knight can have 7+7+5, useless talent point=1 they having three talents
other function can have two talents at level 7 they can choose 7+7 useless talent points=6.
for Mohini:
Necros can have 7+7+5 (Basic Dark, Advanced Dark, Spirit Link)
or 8+7+5 (Basic Nature, Basic Dark, Spirit Link)

All faction are equal overall. It's not what the faction has that makes oyu win in the end, it's how you use what you are given, how you protect against what you are weak against and how to stop what others have. It's Strategy. It's how a player plays that determines if he or she wins.

right all classes have strongpoints and weaknesses but some players c only strong points of others and only theyr weaknesses :D

conclusion, back to main topic, as much as endurance benefits knights, there are other ways to benefit other factions too, just that those skills or combos just hasnt been found by players yet (or maybe they're hiding somewhere lol) ;)

Do you realise defence does NOT protect against magic?

Do you know the effect of defence is not linear when attack of attacker < defence of defender i.e there is diminishing return as opposed to Attack talents?

I see no problem. Knights are suppose to be heavy shiny armor. Tough to kill.

? What is the point of having a stack of 1000 troops if you can't use them in battle?? Most of the time, by the time a knights troops gets to go, most of its stacks are halved or DEAD. pfff....

For example: I can max my X-Bows and bring close to 100 of them to an ambush. But the thing is, by the time the X-Bows turn comes along, it's either down to about a stack of 20 or DEAD.

Why are some people here equating numbers alone as a good thing? Go ask most DEs if they would like 100 Shrews, but have to sacrifice the Shrew's init to that of a Swords or X-Bows, and I can tell you, they will not do it. Likewise, ask most knights if they would sacrifice some of the supposedly 'great' numbers of his/her troops to get the init of the Rogues (lets not be greedy and talk about the Shrew's init..), and i believe most knights would jump at the chance !

Big numbers alone does not equate to good/strong faction. Greatly misguided concept that. Knights have the overall slowest troops of all the faction, and most stacks don't get to go until every enemy troops have taken their turns on the battlefield. Not to mention knights face 1 of the toughest TG caravans in the games compared to players of similar comabt level of other factions.

Having big numbers is nothing and the way this game is designed, is actually detrimental given all the other 'goodies' it has to forego.

haha.. no no. I sympathize with Wizs. They face the toughest TG caravans together with knights. Just like knights, for Wizs to be strong, they have to spend lots of time and effort to get there.

Some factions can be switched to too easily, imo. Along the way, some (many?) had probably went: "Arrgghh, this is getting too hard for me, think I'll switch to DE.."

Knights and Wizs should all be good buddies. :D
