I'm actually quite curious about something - Since most of the Wiz caravan are immune to almost any magical spells, how on Mother Earth do you Wizards beat a Wiz caravan?? :)
Just to add, I have seen 2 level 12 Wizs combat logs, and after looking at pages after pagers, I have not seen them win even 1 ambush against a Wiz caravan..(??)

Until your caravans become really easy. At level 10 I still win once in a while
But 10 <=> 12 is a huge difference...
For wizards are the best caravans with a lot of stacks with lower number, like elves with a lot of stack of archers, knight with monks and farmers, few necro and de types of caravans. Only one type of caravan with a lot small stacks is deadly for magic wiz - demons caravan with a lot of imps.

The biggest problem are caravans with few big stacks and of course barbarians and wizards caravans. Second problem is mana. Not enough for killing almost any caravan without mana recovery talent and lot of time.

The best tactics for me as wizard was set up gargs in the corner with 3xvamps, 3xcerberi or 3xsprites (faeries), each enemy stack with 1 unit and if i was able kill all ranged units before and have still big stack of gargs, i was able stay alive really for long and thanks to mana recovery win in most of that situations. But it really takes a lot of time ...

In fact, with wizard (as magic) i did few types of caravans easier than with barbarian or demon, but other types were harder. Maybe with might wizards it could be better, but i dont like might wizard build, so have not tried it :).

Speed+Defense or Defense+hp are the best choices, which is better depends on the fight. I'd tell Speed+Defense would be good for pvp and large numbers of slow units, Defense+hp for most other fights.

I used to go for hp+def, now I'm using speed+def because sometimes this speed bonus helps me win some turns from being attacked. It really depends on the creatures you fight ( or if you're in PvP ).

And don't forget to post with your main char ;)

How useful is dominion of fire now that it has been changed up?
well, for you it would be useless - wizards don't get fire magic until lvl 10... anyways i think dominion of fire is only useful for high ap battles, and works well in group battles or if the wizard is a magic/might hybrid. if there is no one who uses might to attack, then the defense reduction is useless. on the other hand, if the spell power is low, again the reduction is useless.

i would say that it is only useful in group battles where you can use fireball to reduce defense of several enemy stacks so that your teammates can do heavy damage to them (in addition to the heavy damage ur fireball will have done)

ok...our wizard faction hasn't been talkin alot. lol

anyway, which is better for magi enchant thing for a faction lvl 5 wizard. +6 initative 4 def, +6 initiative 3 health. anyone got a new "theory"?
