Yeah, that blaster (I mean not pistol, but automat) made the ending too easy.
Next time when I played that game I managed to kill that Red dragon in the first isle :)
Yes, it is possible.
I've taken many relics and artifacts from it. And much gold, of cause. The game became so easy that I was too lazy too finish it next time :)
Only the first time was the best (it was as the first love, which never dies :) ).
Just remembered more things in MM7:
c) I've constructed Golem, it was friendly and was defending my castle :)
d) I liked various sounds in that game
e) I also liked "guild members only" thing :)
(I still hear that voice "members only" :) )
f) Arena was also a nice place to prove yourself
g) Achieving Grandmaster skill was never easy, because it was hard to find even Masters and Experts, who can teach you (I had to make many logs in a text file).
h) casting spell, which lasted several days was also very nice thing - Grandmaster is Grandmaster.
Jesus, I want to play that game again!

what's the problem? i played it on xp and it's written on the box that xp is among the supported os. however i wouldn't recommend playing it on a screen bigger than 17" because of the resolution issues. |

yes taking the teleporter to that place filled with titans and dragons then just casting Armageddon continuously was such a nice way to kill everything :D

XD it saved that information automatically, in the place that listed your quests and potions
speaking of potions, alchemy pwned, i must've killed myself 100 times just combining random potions, god bless that save and reload function ;)

i imagined it was possible but only with the that wand that guy tries to give you. just kill him and you get it for free though ;) a whole lot of strafing and shooting would've done it, god knows i spent half the time in that game strafing. twas the tactics i used, if it could shoot you you strafe, if it was mass melee you entered turn based mode :D |

Ok, I won't tell you about one HoMM3 map, which was THE BEST map I ever played (I've played several hundreds various HoMM series maps, but only that map got my special attention). I still have a save from that map, just before the most EPIC battle against a very powerful Demon army. I've spent about 20 hours on that battle (I did save and load many times) until I was satisfied with the battle results (first 10-15 times I loaded it, because I wanted to WIN it somehow, the next 40-60 times I loaded it until I won it WIHOUT losing anything - that part was really challenging, because enemy was immune to many spells, including "blind", and he also had not bad magic resistance). Many HoMM series maps has a problem: the most difficult part of the game is only in the first 2-8 months, later the game becomes easy and boring (but on this map you face the main enemy near the end (80%) of the game, and he has 4-5 times bigger army than yours :)).

Only Grandmasters and Masters were automatically saved, not Experts (there are 2-3 Experts, only one Master (maybe two) and only one Grandmaster). And I think that Masters wasn't logged in MM7 (only in MM8). I really HAD to visit those many houses to find the proper training (then I started to write down everything about them).

Yes, that was the way to victory against that red dragon (that Wand has only 40 charges if I remember correctly and it wasn't very helpful). In melee you have no chance (3-4 hits and you die). |
