i took a look at nnt000's transfer log and realized i was in fact the only one who declined his presents back then and bought some of his elements by the market prices, as i do from any other customer.

Well, this thread is not to question Empire's or any admins' decision. So let's not go there. It's more to understand the rules better and how transfers are viewed as legal/illegal.

Hmmm.. you mean buying arts at way below market price, use/keep it for 2 months, then when the transaction is found out, a player can then send the art(s) to Empire and... all will be all right, and the player will be 'saved'??

2 months later, after the illegal transfers has been discovered, the player send a DIFFERENT art with much less durability and market value to Empire -
06-20-10 14:56: Transferred item(s): 'Thief cloak' [0/42] to Empire . Transaction price: 5000 Gold
If this method can 'save' a player, I can imagine many players will exploit this loop hole. Anyhow, the player above have already been fined/warned many times about illegal transfers/password sharing etc. Funny how he'll probably get away again while others are blocked after just 1 offense.

btw, the above-mentioned player is the leader of a MC and has been playing here for years. No reason or excuse he doesn't know the rules, especially after all the warnings and fines he has received. Though some players have said he has 'learned his lesson', he tried to pull a fast one even when transferring the illegal arts to Empire.
Wonder what would happen if the seller was not discovered and blocked.. Would he still have send the illegal arts to Empire? Most would know the answer.
Not referring to the above case, but there really should be a consistent rule for all players.. |

you got me totally wrong :}. i just summarized what Someon3 said, that he suspects Empire kicked him from his account, logged in and transfered the arts to herself. nothing more. these are his observations not mine. i never even said i have doubts this was the case or not.
it should be pretty obvious i'm not suggesting anything including Empire redempting players and creating loopholes for buyers/sellers/keepers of arts for whatever reason :}

I belive that it could be the same that had been used a lot and repaired. Meaning that it had been used around 810 times in battle. If you calculate 250 gold for each battle, this would mean that the two months "leasing the artifact" was worth 200k gold. |

then he used his own cloak (that marked_one) repaired a bit earlier over and over and here he lets a smith repair it again:

While the cloak he received from nnt000 is at the moment still in his inventory:

Well, that would mean doing on average 13-14 battles daily for 60 days. With the number of hours that the said player logged in daily and doing mainly GBs (which takes about 1 hour each), that's just not possible. :)

Several players (who send arts to Empire) and I don't sent arts by ourselves. This is done by Empire. As what I said that Empire logged in into my ID. So, I think no one can exploit this loop hole
But don't you think at least the artifacts had been taken by Empire. How about the other? Why Empire doesn't take the full durability dragon shield from dark night or several arts from MyDoom (last player who accept arts gift)?

Seriously , why would empire log in from some ID to help someone with his cheating . Even the players who should have been fined are blocked , then why would empire reverse illegal transfers ? |

My dear friend. I can fully understand where you are coming from. But even IF (I doubt anyone except Empire can prove this, which is unlikely to happen) Empire was the one who logged into your account and did the transfers, it doesn't mean the Empire did the same for all the other player(s) who have such transfers to Empire. I'm merely saying I hope this is not a loop hole that some players can exploit. :)
As for why Empire MIGHT have logged into some players accounts and not others. Well, it could be he have not finished his checks yet.
But like I said, let's not question Empire's or any of the admins' decisions here. We all know it'll get nowhere and just get the post deleted. :) |
