Honestly, when you're on level 9, there aren't that many options, because it isn't easy to use tactics that the ai doesn't know. The best way would be to go as might wiz, because it is so much easier to outsmart the ai while moving creatures.

As a magic wiz, firstly take as few troops as possible, so that the additional troops don't increase too much, and then have a lot of mana but not as much spell power, so that you can use raises (if I remember right the ai will only use damaging spells). Then genies can actually do some damage, and also draw the spells from the enemy hero, so that your gargs live. This will allow you to kill enemy gargs for some time without hurting your own gargs until the raises become useless. Additionally, I would recommend dominion of life talent.
naviron, what does the &fs=1 part of your link do? I usually only put the &lt=-1 to see the whole combat.

Thanks Kerigan, I had no idea the AI wouldn't realize that magic punch is better. It's a really good strategy - even though the other genies poisoned my magi and delayed my genies (which stopped me from running away like I planned) I still won with relative ease (since I could have raised my genies).

Anyone ever tried to play with Basic Nature Magic, Phantom Forces, Basic Sorcery, Mana Recovery and Basic Erudition at level 10?

I wonder if 28 Djinnis are any good at that level. Maybe Concealed Knowledge would be better for that build, dunno.

Not sure actually, but I think it is:

Staff of power
Wizard helmet (recommended) / Hat of knowledge
Some necklace (best one is pendant of despair)
Steel cuirass
Cape of spirits
Dragon shield
Steel boots
2 prophet rings.

+ 2 Kn, + 6 SP, +15 defense (I think), +2 attack (pendant of despair and dragon shield), +5% ini (pendant of despair).

I think the cheapest set is:
Reprisal Sword
Defender Shield
Medal of Bravery

This will give you +2 attack, +4 defense, +1 morale.

A good min ap option for wiz (but slightly more expensive) is:
Reprisal Sword
Defender Shield
Cape of Spirits

This will give you +2 attack, +4 defense, +1 spell power. This is clearly better if you are a magic wiz, and as mentioned above this is a little more expensive.
Raise dead can help you win a GBs in some cases, good spell anyway, soon awaiting lvl14 with new mage guild and senior genies with giants :P
I am surprised how much fun Phantom Forces can be for a wizard, especially when the enemy needs 3 hits to take them down. Or frustration if they get shot down after the first attack. :)

Did some of you notice some increase in recruit set up?
Not for a lvl 9 wizard.
Nothing at lvl 11 either.
Demons and wizards did not receive any additional troops.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
