AuthorDark Elf faction Stats, Talents, Stratergies etc [II]
i just became dark elf can u all just help me out by telling me some tactics or a particularly good pre-combat arrangement for lvl 4 and 5?

And some talents (must talents) for lvl 5 as well

I am currently lvl 4

From ur opinions more people are for magic than might so i will take magic but what is that?

well might dark elfs can do nothing in level 5 you need to be magic dark elf just buy a festive potion of obilvion (cheap) then set your knowledge to 2 and get spell power from left points and set basic chaos magic as a talent when you got level 5 and you need to be might dark elf in level 7+
so u mean dark elfs are weak?
I personally think Dark Elves are strong in might but weak in magic. If you want magic, take wizard. Dark elves are strong at most of the levels but have some disadvantages at level 5&6 because of the number of troops they can recruit........are so little...

DE are not weak.. Its the different play style for them.

See DE's don't get spell bonus against neutral in hunt or mg quest.So they can do 200 damage with 4 spell power :p like wiz.But they are very strong in case of pvp combat.A mage DE is quite frightening for there elemental call talent & piercing ability.So if u want to do gb its good to b a magic DE.

Incase u only do hunt then u could b might 1 but u need to have shrew to tap the true potential of might DE.

So in short u should invest 2point in knowledge and 4 in spell power.It would suffice at ur level.

Would like to know where you heard this from. I've been using rally all these while in ST; though it might be different for each CL...

Recently I turn to Chaos DE.
Im in CL13 but a bit confused about what talents choose and how many knowledge point I need.
Is enough with 10 Knowledge?

Nice to see a mage DE.

As for your talent u try to select advance/expert sorcery bcoz only hero will do the damage & more its turn will b gr8.We don't have enchanted garg so no matter how many troops u recruit it never matches wiz.. so the only way u win can do more damage & kill the enemy faster.
Recently I turn to Chaos DE.

Oh no! Because you were the first Mage DE I found, I modeled my set-up off you while trying mage DE today ;)

For talents, rather than rally, it was recommended that I choose elemental call, Expert sorcery, Advanced chaos.

For 2x2 - 10 Knowledge was looking sufficient. I have yet to trial other PvP battle types.

It has more sense that my previos setup with rally ^^.

Being Mage DE makes certain ambush a piece of cake and before they was very hard even with full arts.

Also two more questions.
1- are poisoners a good choice?
The poison ability does only 2 turns of 49 damage.

2- in 2vs2 is better advanced chaos magic or dominion of fire?
Between basic and advanced chaos magic there is very few difference, only 30 damage with a fireball or 60 damage with lighting (45 - 90 damage if empowered).
Dominion of fire can reduce defense of stack/s 50% 1 turn, it could be great for my team mate shooters or my minos with chastise.

Dominion of Fire is much better than small changes in damage.

Seeming DE are built for Fizikal damage, it would be best to Max recruit powerfull creatures [at ur lvl] suggesting Max Mino[because of DominOfFire, Double STrike] Ladons next because of regen at 6Head. the Witches then Shrews but make sure you have 20-30 Poisoners for little annoyance.

Having said that ^ it is best that you add SOME [3-5] points to attack/defence. if u want defence.[Highly unrecommended because of wiz arts providing def and so on]

Okay that is all although i am level 7 i can understand what you high levels go through but.. I might not be as mart of productive so i do not know if this WOULD be helpfull or not.
Since im a rookie DE all opinions are wellcome :)
Magic DE at lvl 6 is not useless. In fact, I believe that magic DE at lvl 7 will own in a group battle with the proper arts.

what do you recommend for lvl11 magic DE...does it worth to change to magic if I want to do hunts/merc quests in low AP?
