admins got the question too.. they didnt find one TRUSTABLE guy to assistant position during this period(why? maybe all about money,maximal priority to ru server->half-dead com server))
im waiting for something compensation(fsp,events) but i see just a really limited chance... why admins/arctic didnt add the same thief update to com(much better fsp/xp ratio in caravans) and why they forgot training grounds?(ru players can do 5 battles in every day in FA against AI)
those were only 2 important updates,which ones could help for gaining more fsp... | only arctic made the decision
Its untrue Macsek, Arctic was hands tied down, waiting for administration to give him tasks to do on .com. He was an ASSISTANT, not an admin. He said it himself a lot of times, he was here mostly to help in the translation to english and implement code when they (the admins) decided to update our server. I still wont blame the guy for trying to give us an english speaking server, but in the end he couldn't, not because he didn't wanted to, but because admins didn't push the tasks forward for him to do so. | | [Post deleted by moderator Laitha // at owner's request] | wow, you guys are now whinning of Arctic or what?

I`m thankful to naviron and Macsec for their feedback, because the feedback of a discontent person is worth two of "all is good now" and of three "I'm good with whatever they do" opinions. You gentlemen have given enough for me to think about to try to improve. I sincerely hope naviron holds no grunge for the punishment in full view after the "Encarceration of Arctic" mini-event, I mean I even got blocked by Empire! If it is so however, I ask for your pardon in public.
There's one thing I will not tolerate though, being the "Arctic the slacker doesn't do anything for the server" point.
I know sometimes there's a desperate need to blame someone, but this is really not the case. I am an asistant in clan 0, I do not make decisions, I only do what is needed when the admins decide to grace us with some new features for the game. They just don't too often. Whatever reasons there were not to introduce the training grounds etc here, it's a decision that you by the way took duty not to dispute on when registering.
I have never taken the duty to punish rulebreakers, scammers and such. They gave me the button, that they did, but it was for some urgent matter long ago. I know what my duties here are, and I always perform them with diligence.
Finally, there is real life and all the amenities it can have for you. Without any slightest shade of conceit I can say that I occupy a very responsible post which is and always will be a priority above many things including my virtual alias.
As rightfully noted by some, cantbstopped seems to be MIA _without_ having left any notice, am I wrong? But It Is Fine! It just proves my point that no matter what duties and responsibilities there are in the virtual game world, the reality always gets priority, and CBS is clearly a responsible and lucid person. Players would do good not to ironize on his leave.
Finally, as was mentioned a few posts above, there's nothing in this for me, except for the feelings that I nurtured eveytime when putting a grit of my soul into this server. So for once, I have the right to log in to the game when I feel like it without having to listen to pouting of certain players about "Arctic`s been online and hasn`t done anything!"
On this emotional note I believe we may line up this topic and return to the main subject of this thread.
Work is being done every day (at the very least by me) to near the date of the merge. My role is not decision-making, so all I can say is, some of merge mechanics are already decided, some aspects are still being pondered on. For some reason (weird one I know) I'm still not authorized to herald the ones that decision has been already taken on. But I know for a fact that this thread has influenced at least one decision, so why don't you direct your efforts to some more useful course rather than discussing the team staff.
(I won't probably be scolded much if I tell that neither your worst, nor your best/wildest assumptions for the merge mechanics/rulings are going to take place =) ). | Guys do not let yourself be carried by your bad emotions. Time gone is gone forever. Let's look at the future and if you want to play, then we will need everyone kind to help and make this server more interesting and active. Arctic is back and wants to help so let's respect him for that.

Not at all, by all means. It started as a joke, it ended as a joke. And if any time I allude to the "miserable herald", that is in the very same framework. Absolutely no grudge and no pardon required.
I welcome your coming forth details, and I take back my rather harsh words above at your direction. They were rather ill founded. Apologies if the "Arctic the slacker" has offended you.
As for CBS I was definitely not ironising, but rather expressing my sorrow for his desapearance, since I judge to have had a positive effect on the state of the server. | | [Post deleted by moderator Laitha // off topic] | Arctic, bro you did very well to concrete your point. Everybody should understand that whatever you have done for us is more than enough and your just not the man blamed. In fact, nobody is to be blame; the merge is done for our own good (some slight mishaps like language has to be tolerated to enjoy a better game). If some ruthless players tend to oppose the idea and just blame the bearer of the news, all we can do is ignore them and continue our journey. The fact has to respected that personal life has to be given has to come before your online social world (even I had long sleeps but I came back, because the experiencing this game has always been and will be an awesome moment!
For all this it is you and the admin team which has to be thanked for their efforts to provide us a better gaming experience through this project!

So now i will put my list of "worries" in case that i may influenced admin's decisions:
1) Huge problem with fsp. I am level 14 and i have faction skill level 10. Russian players at the same level as me are faction skill level 11 and have great resistance in other faction too. So big problem with tournaments and PVP battles.
2) Big problem with the language. I started learning russian by the way in any case :) I have read Maxim interview and i think he said that we can have both english and russian language.
3) What will happen with the estates, artifacts, MC clans and resourses. Hope we can keep all that we have gain in the last five years. Some will say "estates here were bought between 700.000-1.500.000 gold and in russian server costs around 2.500.000 gold". But we can say that too with the TGI prize.
4) I guess market is going to merge too. That is a good thing.
Hope we can combine our map with the russian map too.
And one suggestion to fix problem 1: We can have one event until the merge which will give us some fsp. Any event, maybe one of the old ones that we had so it doesn't need any translation.

Sorry you cannot deliver some more news about the merge, but nice that it will happen soon and that they have been influenced by at least one of our concerns.
I am looking forward to the merge and do have many concerns mentioned (faction ratio being my primary concern), I think almost everyone has been mentioned. But here are two more I think have not been posted.
Estates: If our estates will be reallocate to their map, it should be random, like market not lowest ID on top as it is now, since it will always make .ru estates go first
MC: If we won’t have a war soon; we should somehow be compensated since the .ru clan will just get richer and richer, and we will therefore always be behind | Additional point:
On ru server the mines/manufacturing areas and production areas are owned by mililary clans. If the two maps will be shared or the estates will be relocated to ru map, how can we have the chance to occupy any area? I think our military clans are much weaker and this is mainly coming from fsp difference and from the arts what payers have there.

I do not understand Russian, I do not know what their word for additional/multi etc is. There is a need for multiple accounts to be identified in a language neutral way to ensure this rule, (amongst others) are followed.

This is great news, admins just don't want to talk to us, but they do have an "ear" for what we are saying over here!
So let's stop the complaints and grudges so we can all focus on the merge details/wishes/possible problems. It will be great if someone can make a list with the more important staff, witch can be updated from time to time, so admins can find them with easy ;) | It would be good if there are emoticons (or translated phrases) to use in battle, PM, forums, and any other communication method in the game.
Examples:
Type == Display
:) = "a happy face picture"
(defend) = "defense icon" or whatever defend in russian is
(basic russian phrase) = translated basic english phrase
Also instead of typing, these emoticons can be click selectable. |
