I support the idea of fighting "when you want" not "when you need".
I like LordsWM because it's not like those strategy games (maybe I can't give names but you know the kind, get resources, build a city, fight with others) in which you need to enter every day to use your resources, to respond to attacks etc. It lets you make a 1 week break without losing anything. Or let's say it used to be like that.
The funny thing is that we may chose not to participate in this event and we could play lords when-we-want, but the competition and the hope that this event may end (or may change somehow) makes us unwilling to lose the mines.
So the best would be to have the event, but fight "when you want". Like those clan plannings to gather all player at once and destroy those suvilurgs. And even better if clans could make an alliance and fight together against them. |

Ppl before any further discussion about fighting "when you want " and " when you need" try to answer these questions to yourself.
1. What actually is the difference in being a member of normal clan and military clan(war clan)?
2. Are you strong enough to be a member of MC?
Previously there was not much difference between the normal clan and MC other than some rare mg events.
Is it just a clan with limited ppl ,depo and a Icon beside name?
It just don't justify the military thing.
Now mc has to prove themselves and to others there activity.
From now on(actually from past 2 months) members of mg have something better to be proud.of instead of some pasht glory.
If we want to a member of an active mc then we must prove ourself in the arena with our clan mates.
It was up to the player to be or not to be a member of mg.
Offcouse even I agree that eating the same bread all the year (?) long is just boring.
Just wish admins to introduce the "usability of battle glory" so that we can fight with some better goal than to hold a facility. |

Normal person with a real life, playing game in free/spare time for fun vs. Professional LWM player being told what fun really is.

A character's strength has nothing to do with it. Only thing that matters is weather you have a job/family/real life obligations. Or not... |

Being in a military clan gives you more opportunities, while being in a normal clan gives you less.

To be a member of >a< MC, yes.
To be a member of EW, as long as it didn't reach the maximum capacity of players, I am. (I don't take a better player's place)
If my clan becomes full of active players, I wouldn't mind to let somebody else more active than me in the clan. |

And there are lots of people with old artifacts (before the economy update).
Though there are few people that still play this game, but I don't think they will compete as a clan.

you forgot that total enroll post for EC oh EW is less than our crystal mine :)
your facility is almost producing 80-90% of total, but ours are still in 50%, once we loaded money in that

No offense too, but, it is just another point of strategy. For the clan get gold, the facility needs gold. If it doesn't have it, doesn't matter how much work places it got.
Lets admit, its designed to burn gold an diamonds, in return supplying good fsp and (somewhat unwanted) XP. But its also a good test of organisational skills of MC's.
I strongly agree with it. The fsp is good, but I miss some guild points.
And, at last, but not least:
I like to play the game when I want, not being forced to spend my entire evening on it. I see others make reference to Travian, this was exactly the reason why I quit that game and came here. - Not my phrase, but it says exactly what I think. |
This event will not separate "hardcore" from "non-hardcore" players, it will separate active players from those who are not.
"Hardcore" players are generally more active than "casual" players. Like, "online" or "available at short notice" more than 14 hours a day. Casual players tend to login only during breaks or when they're doing other things in the internet.
You remember those "monster russians" with heaps of fsp?
They did that by playing events.

Exactly. And the admins are making good in implementing the difference between a martial clan and a peaceful one with this "event". It's just unfortunate that a lot of players are unprepared to face the full consequences. I think this "event" hit the .com clans harder than .ru clans. For .ru people, this was just another event. For a lot of .com players, it was not just about getting facilities, this was a chance to prove themselves against the Russians. I doubt that a lot of people would have joined if they knew it would last this long. And the longer you fought, the harder it is to quit. I sense mass burnout... |

well a MC player can join any event,tourneys organized by admins. No need to join MC, But he can't join MC event being a non MC player. right !

If you,Tony or anybody whish to troll us about it then it is your choice and speaks volume about the people doing it.
It has been month and yes it is irritating that Admin has not yet changed it. I could imagine most people would know that feeling by now. You lost a mine and admins didn't correct it, we chose not to attack yours or any mine during then. I wont tease or take advantages when admins fail to do something.
Efl somehow changed timezone wrong, they made post on forum and complained in many different skype channel. As I remember people where largely supportive and admin fixed it even though unlike the AnD lost mine (and many other clans, btw the biggest let down in event so far imo) and our name change delay was not caused by our own incompetence but by Admin.
We all have had difficulties in one way or another, we can chose to troll be supportive or be silent. |
