For fosgeen
Did you say that when a unit is 100% immune only faction resist reduces magic piercing while the resist from talents is ignored? |
Of course, there can be no greater resistance than total immunity, right?
It is very clear in all terms. In terms of logic, you cannot resist something more than completely.
In terms of mechanics, the commutative formula for final resistance of 1-(1-a)(1-b)(1-c)... will be, in case of immunity,
1-(1-1)(1-b)(1-c)...= 1-0 = 1, regardless of what other types of resistance are owned. |
we will have to wait until morphius returns, the numbers in OP are wrong, so regardless what formula we use, we can never achieve the result. |
are you 100% sure?
15% from cape
10% from staff
5% from scroll
3% from necklace
1-(1-0.10)*(1-0.15)*(1-0.03)= 0.25795
taking this we get
450*0.97*0.25795 = 112.59 rounded upto 113. Its correct. |
ice clod base dmg 59+29*9
since it also has full immunity we can use same formula but oh wait result is not 83
so there is at least 1 more number wrong
so annoying we cant see the battle
else it was solved in 5 min |
for Sven91:
with 28% magic penetration.
are you 100% sure?
It's actually 26%, not 28, sry guys. |
and can you also recheck ice clod damage?
ice clod:
83/(59+29*9) = 25.9375% from total damage
lightning:
113/(15+29*15) = 25.1111% from total damage
That is weird, since there is no extra elemental damage or resistance involved, only general magic proof. |
for Sven91:
and can you also recheck ice clod damage?
I rechecked both spell damages and copy-paste from the battle chat:
*First Hero - restores mana.
*First Hero deals 113 damage to Lava dragons with the Lightning spell.
*First Hero - restores mana.
*First Hero deals 81 damage to Lava dragons with the Ice clod spell. |
81.... you said 83 in your post |
