I misfortunately level up today :(

I noticed that the difficulty was cranked up a bit again today.
I still don't know how I won a level 20 wave against 226 lizard assailants, 535 shrews, 98 ladons, some darkwitches and a mino monster with no retal and double strike, as if it's onehits needed retal or double strikes.
But when one comes across a darkness demon with 93 searing horses whose searing alone kills off a stack, a fiend monster with 8k hp that deals normal damage between 1877-7508 so its leap and double strike were meaningless, and to top it off 2 big stacks of mistresses that steal your best stack, there is really no chance whatsoever.
I'm betting that darkness demon was hardest if not impossible.
With dwarf coming in second with its major stack of lava shielded dragons that killed off the units had the invoker monster failed to kill all chaining left and right.
This and the way admins kept changing the difficulty made the event imbalanced and uneventful.
Also I found the exp and sp lousy, as a level 14 I just got 5k exp while one of those stacks from any of these battles alone in a hunt would net me 7k exp.
And it was costly as well, let's see if those riches will have been worth it after the event is over.
And I have one word to those that buy up all the arts and then sell them for 1k above the price it would cost to fully lease it: prison. Because this is called swindle and since there is a prison now, these people should be sent there for this crime. They should even make it automatic that whenever a person puts up an artifact for sale that is well over its leasing price, he goes immediately to prison. First offence a day, next a week, then a month etc. It would serve their greed right. |

Not bad for a mere Dwarf 9. In these sort of event faction level really counts and to do well at CL15 I would need to be Dwarf 11. But I did get a load of fsps so the next time I'll be Dwarf 10 at least :)

My stats:
Level 22 (won one battle, lost all the rest especially when facing elves).
Total combats: 63

Finished all the way from level 1 by doing every level three times, I had finished up level 21 and before I had a chance to start 22 it was allready over.
Since the difficulty was imbalanced I stuck to playing it like this to get the max crippled exp and sp. Got in total 6 crappy 10/10 arties ranging from level 3-8, 4 of them from last set of 10, like it was less chance at start of event orso. Every won battle would give back around 60% of the used arties worth in gold, so it cost me around 40k to play this event to gain only 180k exp and almost 200 sp. Like the people overcharging artifacts, this felt like a swindle as well. :) |
