Changes with unwanted update -> Complains -> Secure their dominance and their will over the complainers with this new featuer -> Earn money -> Didn't earn enough/butthurted -> Decrease troops as new balance, instead of increasing.
This donation, soon after the MG update was not a coincidence, that exactly what anybody that would want to keep something up, would do.
To be honest the part of decreasing troops instead of increasing, to achieve a game balance, is an theory, but the fact of donation after a new update with unwanted features, is not.
