| Speculation here but it's just because supply is drying up as more and more get locked up by mass shareholders. Most shareholders will be of the buy and hold variety with no intention to sell in the near future hence price goes up. |

Definitely getting much better after April-May surge in vaccination efforts here in the states. We were doing far worse in containing our cases relative to several other developed and even developing countries with many times more population, thanks in some part to the negligence and willful ignorance of leadership and stubbornness of people as usual promoting noncompliance to CDC recommendations. Things have visibly taken the upturn now. I am certainly glad for USA as we are headed towards normalcy.
At the same time, I am aware of the unfortunate situation in India. I have friends and family living there.. and my parents have told me about their friends passing away due to covid related complications. I fear for them and sympathize with their situation more than anything. As someone who has lived in India and seen many things there, i am unsure if they have the resources and infrastructure to support the majority of lower income families in lockdown. Can't help but turn off the atheist in me and pray that there is hope for both poor and the rich. |
