| I think so - at least the stats of my creatures are higher than I would expect by a long way - so figuring arts are working - but def no durability lost - so nothing to lose by wearing them! |

I tried nimbleness as cheap and should give +8 def - however the stupid AI stays still doesn;t it
I would pump your stats for a while - you need to get some ini and speed really before any of the abilities become worthwhile I think.
I can imagine with sufficient speed fortification, nimbleness, full metal and strike and return would be good - I would throw mayhem in the mix as well.
Sit back and hit people as they advance - with extra def and first attacks minimised as they do it. Occassional mayhem reducing movement so you get extra attacks in.
In that scenario however I wonder what it would reckon your movement was - would it take your direct speed or the number of tiles moved (which is therefore double normal speed) |

For imperceptibility:
This creature takes damage only after the beginning of its first turn. |
