AuthorBad magical mine algorithm

I have lost this battle because I think the AI is programmed to put mines in front of the enemy. Thus, my gremlins on auto kept putting magical mines in wrong positions where it didn't make any sense, [I believe] just because the enemy was facing west.
I forgot to say the suggestion, which is to improve the magical mine placement.

One example would be to choose a creature in front of which to put the mine (which it already does), then simulate how current AI would move it and put the mine on its path.

Then if it wouldn't move, just look for the next creature, or do ranged attack instead.
Man that is annoying, I was watching the fight and you got it down to just cyclops with all your troops left, I was thinking 'I thought he lost this fight?' then it dodge the mine like 10 times. RIP

Some stuff the AI is just too dumb for, I would argue the AI should know exactly where the cyclops will move to because it plays both sides. Only thing you can really do is not press auto so early. Imo if AI is too dumb for magical mine it should just default to ranged attack.

But the cyclops also know where the gremlins put the mine so they dodge it! The AI is playing mind game with itself)
It's an interesting problem. Maybe the AI was going to go there, but when the gremlin put the mine down, it decided to go elsewhere?
lol. This is a funny situation indeed.

But on a serious note, i think the cyclops just do what AI thinks is the best move without considering the mine. I know, difficult to believe, but its how I expect things to be :P
In my experience, the AI actually explicitly avoids mines if it can.

To be more specific, if the AI can attack your unit in two directions and you place the mine in one, it will always move in the way that miraculously avoids the mine. :P

I remember seeing this semi-frequently in the PoT event where we played with those T1 units that had the ability to place traps. Maybe I was just unlucky...
