I have been playing this game 7 years now.
I still very much enjoy this game.
It must be a lot of work for a group of people to keep this going, personally i appreciate this.
I have no idea who these people are, but i would like to thank them as they are doing a great job.
There is a lot of complaining in the forum, which is ok.
It would be a good thing to have at least 1 thread filled with positive things.

Thanks a lot for making this thread. I have been playing this game for many years myself and it has been such a great time. I am not the kind of person who likes to spend any time on facebook or other networking websites, but I am so glad to be here as this game has allowed me to talk with so many incredible people.
This game has has changed so much within this time, big and small changes that we sometimes endured and often celebrated to have what it is today. It has always fascinated me how such a seemingly simple game can also be so captivating. I often get bored and stop playing games like dota for months, but not wanting to play lordswm has never happened to me.. I have stopped in the past only to study for exams but always returned after :)
Thank you so much for this, and I always say this to my friends who think this game sucks after just one look "I want to be able to play this even when i am old and almost dying." :) |
i like the pace in which factions and alts are added (every faction gets the chance to shine and rule for a while)
i like the watchers guild
i like the extra inventory space we got recently
i like the diversity in events
i like the reset of hunters guild and i absolutely loved the hunter event
i like the survilurg battles
i like the portal of time events
i love the "ring leader" events
i really appreciate the fact that people took time from their lifes to translate almost everything from this russian game to english on a separate platfrom... and then decided to merge these platforms.
mostly i like the fact that you can enjoy this game just as much on level 6 as on level 16.
You can play all day every day, or every once in a while... it does not matter, at any point in time there are fun and challenging battles you can play. |
Is there internet and LWM in the afterlife? If not, it would be really really boring..
I generally like all aspects of the game but if there's one thing worth noting is that despite it being more and more challenging, LWM has not forgotten it's roots. Unlike other games where their interface, tabs, etc have drastically change to the extend old players whom came back to play again were put off. But no, this is not the case for LWM, admin here just kept on introducing new features/events at a periodic time basic without interfering much of what LWM/HWM's identity is from 8 years back.

Gameplay wise, it's very simple: you can attack, move, wait or defend and that's it.
Strategically however it's very deep, and moving one tile further or not can make you win or loose. I played a bit the game which inspired this one but fighting again and again tiny AI armies in one-sided battles was boring grind. Here I can go straight to the point and play rather balanced PvP anytime. |

I like that there is always something to learn
I like the events
I would like to donate to this game if paypal worked
I played a few years ago and came back because it is a very nice virtual home to have. It can be paused when real life demands it and played anytime. I find it relieves stress to be honest whereas some other games cause it

I like the character statistics and logs.
I could waste hours going through different combat logs and watching replays not just to study up but also for the fun of it :) |

The only game I have ever stuck with and return to again and again.
2 things I adore:
1. It adds flavors to the same base it already developed - so its always revolves around the same central core.
2. You can play at your pace, anytime you want, however you want, pause and return back again, whenever u want. Almost a year and a half later your character is still waiting for you :) |

What I like about this game:
- You can make a plan for your character and pay much attention how you develop guilds and faction levels. I love to see my guild levels growing steadily and plan how my character should look like in the later game. I like the slowness of the game. It can take years to get level 21, which means you will have goals for a long time.
- There are many different guilds with different mechanics and battle types, so I have a real choice of what doing next.
- I can choose how long I take with level up, building guild levels and so on. No one forces me to play, I can enroll if I don't have time to play or just want to get richer. I'm not forced to compete with top players.
- It's not a problem if I can't afford everything you can spend gold on in this game. I don't even need to spend anything beside of arts and castles and don't feel too poor against players who have rare sets and estates, because nearly everything you can buy on the server you can also rent. And it's nearly impossible to own everything, which makes players pretty much equal in the game. With a bit of patience and discipline everyone can get rich.
- The community is (mostly) very polite and helpful, I feel that many adults play this game and even the younger gamers behave in a very respectfull manner.
- The bonuses you get for donating are not too overpowered, but add a nice advantage, still don't make you unbeatable. Of course there are players, who spend 1000s into their character, but you can avoid to compete with them.
So bottom line it's for a combination of freedom and variety, which makes this game so attractive to me since years. Thanks devs! |

Firs think I like is that here are always people who love this game without after years of playing and they are not sad about stagnation (without sarcasm)

I like when admins never come to hear english complains
I like admins when there is 1000 ideas for game upgrade, but admins dont want to develop anz change
I like when is something fun and administration makes it harder
I like the visual of this gamesite which is still the same, with small changes ( i have to be objectve) per 8 years (we survived win xp, win wista, win 7, win8, win 10.. and we are still the same great graphic, visual style before jesus christ, is not great? :D |
