Details:
The mechanics of fights have changed significantly. Armies have become smaller and more dynamic.

1) Battles are in the format 1-on-1. The enemy character is hidden in the castle;
2) Allowed heroes from the 3rd combat level;
3) Your enemies may be the representatives of all factions and (starting with 5-level) class;
4) Allowable weapons: artifacts from the store, modifiers do not work;
5) The trip begins with the siege of the castle 1 level, each victory increases the complexity and the level of the next enemy;
6) There are three areas of attack, each area has its own specificity;
7) Walls partially protect the defending forces of the shots and magic spells;
8) In all battles for the castle the player is awarded with points that can be spent on improving the catapult;
9) In case of defeat, you have to fight with the same defenders at the same level again, but their army will be weakened (the more, the more troops have been killed in the previous battle);
10) When winning the next level of the castle, hero can find in its treasures gold, low-durable artifacts and creature artifacts;
11) You can take part in the campaign up to 12 times a day, unused attempts are cumulative;
12) The campaign will last for 7 days, until 16 February inclusive. In addition, there will be two more days to complete the remaining fights, until February 18 inclusive;
13) Effects of skill potion fractions apply to battles in this campaign;
14) The attack can be started from anywhere in the Empire;
15) Catapults are greatly enhanced and easy to break the walls of the enemy.
Nice! I really liked this event and I am happy to see that admins improved it.

Yes, but a bit modified.

At lvl 1 the opponents are pretty easy, and the catapult 1-shots the wall and gates.

You can choose between 3 tipes of opponents:

1. A might hero
2. Chaos caster
3. Light or dark caster
I did the first 5 on the eastern front with little effort, will be interesting to see how quickly the difficulty picks up.
can catapult target enemy stacks?
for Fallen Atheros:

it requires 1200 points to take control off. I haven't reached this level. In the past, it is possible only with a clear shot (walls can stop the stone despite you target enemy troops)

can main tower still shoot if we 'block' it?
Do the levels of the castles even matter? I did the first 4 on eastern front, at fourth try it had 3 towers, now I did level 1 of the mage and it allready had a moat and its main tower was shooting well over 200 damage, did even 234 damage against my dragons.
ALso it isn't like last time, when you lose, the enemy doesn't have only the leftover troops for the next time. It only sais weakened and is just slightly so.
For example I faced wizard with:
48 enchanted gargoyles
20 modern golems
6 lorekeepers
2 senior genies
2 senior geneis
3 sphynx warriors
1 giant

And I lost with the enemy having left with:
38 enchanted gargoyles
3 modern golems
1 giant

Facing them again it had:
38 enchanted gargoyles
16 modern golems
5 lorekeepers
2 senior genies
2 senior genies
2 sphynx warriors
1 giant

With mathematics it can be seen that it got reduced for only 20% overal rounding over 0,5 up since the 6 lorekeepers make 4,8 and 5 appeared and 3 sphynx warriors make 2,4 and 2 appeared.
So it seems it does not matter how many you kill, just 20% reduction. I don't know yet what the reduction becomes after 2 losses.

@Fallen Atheros, mine had exactly 20% reduction, so I'm guessing the reduction is along the lines of 10-30% since we can't see others battles yet.

Also beware in southern front where the darkness mage keeps casting mass disruption for -6 def and the infected zombies also keep on removing 4 def. My lizards started out with 69 def, after getting its def down to 21 the main towers damage went from its 89 damage to 768 damage and practicly one shot it away.
southern front is going to be hard. the rays are basically nuclear bomb.

Are there any strategies to avoid the rays?? like who do they target first
What is the best strategy to play as might dark elf?
Please suggest for Knight as their initiative and speed are low.
just try these battle. i think it best to put all parameter on defense until the wall is destroyed same as in WG. this way, you will not lose much army to the shooter by waiting the wall to be destroyed. also, this tactic only effective against might opponent, but you can alter it as you think suitable to the opponents.

take my WG as example as im using disruption ray to reduce their defense:

but the tactic will change soon as we gain control of the catapult, facing caster etc.
but for me now, i will try to gain point from the might hero as much as possible.
beware of barb as it gain additional percentage dmg from its skill but you will face easy enemy if they are using tribal points as they keep waiting and defending make them really weak.
Is there any improvement in rewards as we level up?

pls refer to top knight WG player of your level, how do deal with them.
i think they will be not so much different there.

also the same amount on lvl 2,
no improvement for now, let hear from player who completed 12 of them
no first aid tent?
