Prediction time: How long would you think this game will survive?

AuthorPrediction time: How long would you think this game will survive?
i say 2 more years at this rate.
PvP is almost dead. At some point, people will get tired of PvE.
And now no insight.
It was supposed to come today.
for PLaY LikE a PRO:
What do you mean it was supposed to come today? I don't see it in any announcements - Nobody made you any promises. What you mean to say is that you were hoping that it would come today and you haven't seen it yet.

The game itself will last as long as the admins intend it to. If you think the lack of Pvp is going to kill the game - It hasn't yet. I do not doubt that some players will grow tired of PvE - But the game will go on with those players that will remain interested.

I don't like these kinds of threads - You may as well go and predict the demise of Google. If you think the game has a specific issue and you want to address it, do so without the 'demise' factor and talk constructively.
hey pvp lover one ring why don't u played griffin & manticore event?

Not a single 1! U never play pvp only pve & r predicting demise of this PvP is almost dead. At some point, people will get tired of PvE.

You r criticizing something u yourself don't follow.

Plz stop being a troll.
for Corey:

No I am just sad that there is no insight yet.
I am not criticizing anyone.
I loved the event.
The awards were very good.
And definitely game will last as long as admins want :)
I mean it's an amazing game.

I am just sad about the insight part.
It's just my love for ST talking :)
The devs may want to give it a few days before insight ST just to let people relax a bit.
for Meshy:

Well they could start now and make it a long event (till next Sunday).
That's always a possibility :)
for PLaY LikE a PRO:
It can happen anytime man.

Also i would like to think that this game will live forever. I mean there's already more than a dozen free games that can be compared to be much better in terms of gaming experience.. But i think this game has something that pulls me so i keep coming back :)
As long as they are able pay the server costs and some maintenance, why should they shut it down?

I've played this game already on .com in the dark ages and still there were at least some players who donated without having significant updates for months and years.

So yeah, as long as there are players and the admins don't shut it down for some personal reasons, it will probably last forever.

i say 2 more years at this rate.

You're not the first one with such predictions and you won't be the last one. Still, we can play.
So you where offline about a year, you haven't yet found out what chances have been made all this time, and this is the 1st topic you open?
Why bother come online?

This.

Me too, I think these kind of Threads are very pessimistic, Tbh.

Anyway, as they say, The game itself will last as long as the admins intend it to.
They could make a series of Updates to "Revamp" the game REALLY hard. Sometimes you pass by "Ideas and Suggestions" Forum and see really good things being suggested.
And Im not talking about Alt DE, Alt Tribal, etc. Im talking about a series of Updates which could make the game way more appealing/enticing, I guess you all know what Im talking about.

Anyway, I dont think this is the kind of game you play Hardcore everyday, Tbh.
This is a game you play a lot, then leave, then come back to see what they put new and say "Hi" to friends, etc IMO.
... So old players will keep coming back in case they leave for a little break, like I do.
this game has thousands of dedicated players. there's enough donators to keep this going, so no demise in sight.

pointless topic.
As soon as Roulette is there , there will be more than enough donations. :p
So it will probably last forever.
maybe after i die i guess?
I couldn't take your negativity in the flooding thread and now you're posting it in the General game off
good job

FYI a PvP event just got over.

Based on the online number count, it can be said that the remaining of people are those who really loyal and addicted to this game, i remember last time when i logged in .ru server, it was more than 10k people online ..so the online count is halved

How is this happened? Ask Maxim and Alexander ..They all know
We are flogging a dead horse. Used to be that an announcement would come at least after a few days. The awards are allready dispensed and we have yet to hear a whisper. And this is not critisizement but fact. So yes, great improvements. The game hasn't attracted that many new players besides russian ones. Most new created accounts are from allready existing players.
Now I have made my peace that this is a russian game and will always remain as one, meaning non russian players won't be tended to unless they feel like it.
Now I have glanced at the event winners list on the russian forum and is there even a non russian person on that list? Maybe a few, I don't know, but the thing is when an event does not get properly announced then you can't properly prepare for it while they can, it's like you are competing in a race but you have no idea what time it starts or what the race is about and suddenly the race has allready started before you have any idea whats going on and just jump into the deep end of it. So no wonder that the winners lists are always dominated by players that play from the russian url.
During the event I logged from the russian url and saw the proper announcement with even all of the alt dark elf units that you could click and see their stats and abilities, while in the meantime here on this forum people were still asking questions if there was a dark elf alt coming.
While I am a dark elf player I even skipped this event as the event before it. I got tired of playing catch up. It used to be like 5 battles a day for an event, when it reached 7 it started to become a drag, now that it is 10 and instead of getting a proper announcement to prepare and stock up to be able to make time to play it that suits you best, you suddenly see that there is an event going on and the artifacts that you are gonna run out off are allready out of stock thanks to the well informed players from the other url. And you have no idea how many battles you are allowed or what even the battles are about or if you will even have time for them. You rush around both the forums for info. By day 3 you find out it's 10 battles per day while you have only done like half of them, before you are able to do the remaining ones another 10 has appeared. By the time that you are done, practicly all of the joy was allready drained away and it felt like work instead of enjoyment. So yeah, wonderful improvements.
agree its quite annoying thread start.

but, for all who is criticising The One Ring and in this game more than a few years, please ask following question to yourselves, give an honest answer.

would you invite (insistingly) any good friend of yours to start this game ?

my answer is no, game has evolved to a too big money trap relative to what it offers, especially to english speaking community ;)
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
