Unicorns and Elves in the lower/higher CL's

1|2

AuthorUnicorns and Elves in the lower/higher CL's
This post is in with respect to a chosen few, who have provided me their own valuable insight on what may be the actual situation of the elven faction in regarding their validity as PvP...um....players for lack of a better word. Sir Jedi Knight, who beautifully laid out that elves are indeed the goat of this game. Offered me some insight as to what their potential is in the right hands. Though evenly scored so, they also have their strengths and weaknesses, and some are more glaring than most. I am looking to add some perspective and visual clarity on as to why their connotation is imbued as "deadly paper warriors." And...is their any compact or concrete solution or idea that can be brokered from the plight of the toil it takes to make them great.

I watch all you guys, I see your combats on the higher levels to see what exactly consists and such and see that yes elves do suck now, but there is hope on the horizon. This is true no question indeed. Lower levels are watched with equal capacity

To be simply put, I would enjoy thoroughly our no-nonsensical logic on the matter without hubrion the narcissus flower seeded in between and amongst the fields of your discretion, and to see that that field is not fallow...

What I would like to direct is a more conscious aspect to the disparity I have felt among elves from these combat levels:

CL 7-8

It seems to me as though, and this is not to just rehash but I am reiterating a little for anyone as to where I am exactly coming from.

In agreement with the concept that battles, hunts and group battles require different modes of tactic and technique. Without adhering to these principles you will soon find your win/loss ratio becoming bothersome. The fact of the matter is, you win some...you lose some. I believe that everyone believes that elves pretty much do have a strict ranged advantage from CL lvls 3-6. A hefty chunk and portion of crucial development in how your going to gear yourself up for the higher CL's according to battle structure and pace.

For anyone believing I am biased and ignoring that fact will be outright fallacious. I did enjoy my battles up until CL 7 believe me.

So in a sense, everybody is deserving their bitter rage against our faction as they grow stronger, and in so doing should be able to "knock us off 'our' pedestal," for a bit.

I am not saying elves are the best, nor the worst, what I am actually saying is that during those dark night of the soul CL's for elves we need some guidance and deliverance from these struggles. I for one will NOT give them up as they are...attune with me somehow. It is my nature to shoot you from afar...but will not hesitate to enrage my lion as you come closer...and THAT is where I am finding bitter frustration as to how I can overcome this period.

To state more facts; CL's 1-6 are quite rapid are they not? Your exp table is quick and if you do not become patient and hunt, MC guild and labor you will suffer from it heavily later on. I for one has taken the strict timetable to enhance my elven faction's attributes as maximal as possible without becoming an obsessed workaholic.

So back to my point, CL 1-6 is a dash forward with little resistance.

Step forward into range CL 7-8 and now you have 2,3 tier creatures, a more combatable number of troops to expend without immediate panic...and tactics become more heavily involved as you make a misstep, though recoverable...the enemy will seek to take advantage appropriately.

Not only that but your exp table is much larger now, and it takes a bit more time to advance a CL. So DURING that expendable time you may grow your strat, and find the best talents available as now you have at least 2-3 for extra war play.

The magnitude of the matter is that now it is a laborious drudgery for elven at these levels as we find we now are pretty close to the bottom of the totem pole. So we must fight now with heart also as if that ever was lacking...
And also it will take much l
Longer to get to CL 10, where we start to poke our pointy ears above the covers again.

During CL's 7 up until 10 our enemies are placed with 'great' advantages over us that make it hard if not impossible to win with 'any' consistency. And since so much exp. is required to advance it is also a very long road to follow.

I appreciate and would like to point out the fact that some others do feel the same kindred spirit as one such is the matter. There is a subtle feeling that somehow, we are not equipped just enough to deal with the burgeoning abilities granted generously amongst our rivals. They do cavort with laughter and quiet shame if meek enough to see that now these elves do not present a threat.

Now some would say--exactly what are you so ensconced about in this matter, take a loss and develop your character, everything will be fine in the latter.

True to say, but untrue to live, and so I do upkeep the fact that this burning desire to see NOT a great upheaval in troop array, but rather a modest...and humbly modest at that entrapment of a peculiar subject at the root of the matter.

The tank unit of our faction is 'severely' depopulated. In fact, it is so undermanned that one blow from a tank unit of an opposing faction has enough power to completely perish a complete and valuable stack CRITICAL to map control and defense of our bowmen and druids. We are left with a moderate stack(without talent rally, as luck is our sole hope) of EFK's who, yes can inflict massive damage amongst enemies but structurally they are paper-thin compared to the robust vitality of most of our constituents. The ones we NEED to fight in this matter.

So for the simple fact of a crusade that entails a wide margin gap in HP, DEF, and #'s

I state roughly that a small 'fleshing' out of a certain tank unit would in no ways unbalance, but actually provide more of a healthy challenge...which would actually be an intensely fun factor and would provide more of a furious paced battalion of brokering battles.

If one were to state that Barbarians, for the sake of example, are brought face to face with EFK and UNI, and they of course ROCS and OGRES.

Due to the low int% count of the ogres, the pony and EFK could wreak havoc on the ogre...and so duly, Ogres recruitment count as a tank unit is 'triple' 3x TIMES the amount of a UNI stack. The ROCS though would temper the duo's onslaught and we have a fight do we not?

Now...As the CL Elf in the matter, simply add in elven bowen and some druids and you are winning.

Now bring in for the CL Barbarian their ranged unit of Orcs who and was stated by another I quote loosely "Orcs seem to go before elven bowmen predominately." They take considerable damage to when properly manned. You forget now to add in Wild boar riders and now the EFK's and Ponies are outnumbered.

So by going first and damaging most bowmen as the elven HP structure is inherently low...our ranged benefit of luck is useless as we try to desperately take out the orcs, while still having the problem of 15-20 Ogres walking around. We are depleted from the Roc/Ogre battle, and cut down by the axe accuracy of the orcs. We have druids left but they are at most a support unit. Anchorites or not.

So now split up and detrimentally damaged on all fronts, we helplessly watch as boar riders come riding in behind sneaky goblins...our ponies and EFKS fought valiantly but cannot save the back quadrant.

In a computer simulation of 100 battles between I would tentatively say that we would be the lower ratio of wins and NOT because of skill. Lower wins of a percentage less than 50%. More losses as attributed by their inadequate numbers.

The juxtaposition of placing a higher recruit count on a luck based faction is by any means reconciled by the fact that the actual reference of it is implied by not integrating this to the whole array of troops.

Just to add a certain low count number of additional troops to an already disproportionately handicapped t
Tank unit that really 'needs' all the help in can get to enforce that nature with more potency.

Unis are like large creature ghosts...they can do high damage, but they are subject to large strikes themselves that completely decimate their stacks prematurely sometimes as I have witnessed(not just my own) in battle.

To incorporate a low boost to their stack count would greatly endow us with just a flagstone of more durability in battles.

Why do factions target elves first in battle? They are paper and easily cut down especially if they are not first.

To do battle with the constant reminder "I must go first or I lose..." in mind is uniquely stressing and provides frequent frustration in the minds of those who are endeared to the quiet elves.

I meekly, but strength-wise propose and ask:

How many Unicorns should the CL Elven Faction have? And-if you feel collectively or individually that they could or possibly 'should' have more...What amount would that be?
6. Do not start topics with suggestions to weaken/strengthen any specific unit, faction, or artifact.
Props to anyone who actually reads all the posts..
First off, let me start by saying thank you for your rude introductory remarks regarding an idea in the making that was evolved from another topic from another thread MUCH discussed as with a figures of high and low stature involved.

For you too dispassionately outright disregard anything that has been said is indeed starkly revealing that you skimmed this excerpt brusquely without reading or taking any material in.

You essentially may have just read the very, 'very' last sentence of this entire catalog and then hastily regarded it with abrasive rashness and dismissed it entirely.

You have no idea who or what I am doing here and I would at least politely ask you to read what is being said out of respect that there is not always one path to a thousand destinations.

I was guided here and would not be here if not suggested to me by another, so I am not some lackey wandering around just asking questions _Sworks_

I am speaking of a valid subject matter that indeed is based on factual evidence concurrently felt by a median of the population and as such, I feel I should speak for those as no one else can.

This topic did not start out with a suggestion I may point out to elucidate you to your concept of what I am speaking.

It started out as a statement. Obviously I gather you swiftly took it upon yourself to be judge appointee and cast down judgment without actually observing the details is irresponsible to all those that seek the betterment of this game, and in a more earthly sense is downright criminal.

This is NOT regarding the strengthening 'or' weakening of an artifact, enchantment, unit or specific faction. It is speaking overall about the arching hierarchy in battles amongst factions and the fruitful...hopefully discussion of as to why.

It says 6. Do not 'start' topics with suggestions to weakening/strengthening any specific unit, faction or artifact.

To be technical it does not infer anything about asking questions in the end.
Thank you mesh, I am certainly trying...
To be completely frank and honest this is about how to make the entire sequence of this wonderful game as much more of a wonderful format and seamless experience as so all can engage in as much as it can be made available.

I believe to stifle that inner-connective creative spirit of the whole would be to stifle and undermine the whole creative spirit of the game itself.

Here is a combat link CL 7 of mine which I think highlights certain key elements of what is being harmonized:

https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=814330335

In short, it is my battle ascension to CL 8 from Elf faction CL 7 vs. Dwarf faction CL 7

It took effort and planning but I was victorious but would like to point out that if one attributes luck to success they may be looking down that rabbit hole of that story everyone is so fond of...
could you make such post for red demon aswell please?
"Certain" https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=816914950

Now here we find a more developed combat of the same exact nature, but with an additional CL(Combat Level) of 8.

Same factions, same warriors, but now with extra talents and more of those same warriors.

The difference being as absolutely shown where more abilities being partially rendered affect the stance of battle.

Now you will see what is exactly being focused upon in manners of this nature, and why someone would lose it lol, if they had to stay at CL 8 Elf without enchantments. That is a joke but I am tired writing this so give a dime up for your 10 sephiroth.

With, or without luck.

You will have to excuse the graphic nature of my frustrations as I am a very competitive player, but such a display was accorded to my 'extreme' frustration on the matter. As this was not the first in a series of dawning realizations and to the nature of the beast.

And in such, I was prompted forward to immediate action of mobilizing a thread seeking altruism not just for any one faction, but for all as we would all benefit from fresh vivacity in warfare from simple honest, raw look at what has been portended from ignoring the obvious sacrifice of raw material versus raw damage.

Raw damage is provided, but without the material to give the damage, that damage is thereby rendered useless and quite tame.

Equality is an issue for civil debate.

But incorporation of a logical look toward an outward manifestation of partiality involving a low additive to a severely significant place-marker in a faction where:

1. Low Hp makes it an 1st rate target
2. Low recruit count places them often in mind numbing decisions where mistake is often fatal
3. Low Defense so as to invoke not only charges and attacks from multiple fronts in a GB setting, but individual PvP battles are entirely based on luck percentages. 30% or 3+ luck is good but will not win you a quick tournament if you cannot maintain status quo to inflict such maximals.
4. Low Magical Attack potency. Nature punch cannot be relied upon to win a battle, whereas fireball or lightning have much better outcomes.

In where said place-marker or tank unit is central if not key to the statute of defense, then all four of those create an environment around the tank that is not conducive to it's survival to inflict maximal damage.

It is in effect, greatly curtailed and is not able to function to much degree of affect.

To say that Unis are not powerful is ludicrous, but to say that they are not lowly counted would believe to be equally so.

There is a subtle fact that the legs are cutoff so to speak. We are not able to embrace battle until we graduate the long road of our own inadequacies, which are only highlighted in aspect too well by gatherings of talents, magic and additional units of rival factions.

Forgive me everyone, I am tired, and I am misspelling things...

Please feel free to comment and add your own creative originality on these and their prospects and please be sure to read the former posts, and corresponding thread labeled "Elf woes," located in the Forums "General Game Discussion" lobby. Additionally please do not spam or abuse your communicative power as I will be very amused by it and I hope you will be too. I, and I do mean us, we actually all are only seeking the betterment of a platform that has served so many with much entertainment and joy for at least a decade. I knew about this game in 2010 I love to see how it has changed and I do sincerely hope for more change, whether that be by mine own or another's hand.

I wish you all peace,
You are still giving a suggestion, and in my point of view, this topic will be closed soon. (as it violates forum rule #6) I didn't read all the posts, and I wonder if anybody did, what I see is that you are comparing elf with other factions and "asking" (suggesting) a buff to it.

Elf is strong enough as it is. Of course it has difficult against barbs, every faction has one faction that it isn't good fight against. Tell a low level knight of having to face a good wizard, or a wizard having to face a tribal, and so on. By the way, the elf faction is the most played of the game, with 21.3% playing it (https://www.lordswm.com/plstats.php). If the majority of the players are of the elf faction, there must be a reason for that. Maybe it is because elf is an easy faction to play with, and it is strong.

But anyway, lets take a look at the statistics:

http://lgnd.ru/gt/balance/lvl/9
(As CG starts from level 9, there is no statistcs for level 8, both levels are quite similiar so a comparation from cl 9 should ok).

Normal elf has problems against knight, charmer elf and dwarf. Againt tamer dark elf, elf can win easily. Against the others, it is not perfectly balanced, but it has good chances.

Charmer elf has problems against unholy necro, fury and dark barb. Against holy knight, battlewise wizard and barbarian it can win easily. Against the others, it is very balanced.

It is not possible to make a perfect balance, but I think it is fine as it is.
@agent_004

Oh sorry I catch you at first I would be honored if I were expertise if not baffled because I have heard things from the demon faction time but although my alt account is red demon/knight I pretend no expertise on them. Though would thoroughly love to help a fellow LWM indeed in some way.
Though tired I am so please find me tomorrow @agent_004
for Dedrago:
Can I have short notes for your suggestion?
Don't have the patience to read it all :P
*short notes of the suggestion you gave
Interesting and long story. Sorry I couldn't find any ideas or suggestions in this thread. Moving to Creative works
Topic moved from "Ideas and suggestions" to "Creative works".

Thank you @velniukstis

Yes as you can see I am indeed very drawn out and invested in this subject, as I feel it need just a 'little,' cross-examination to say verily, verily unto thee...

I am getting frustrated b/c I was directed here and THEN I am directed there.

Pronounced by automatic messages telling me if I repeat infractions of proper location of topics

I will be banned altogether from the forums as an automatic message I cannot reply to, and say in my defense that everyone keeps moving me and telling me "no, it goes here...'no,' it goes THERE.

Meanwhile I sit back exasperated that I am being blamed for others advice to help me get to the right place. Though placing no blame on the innocence of those only trying to help me...their mistake in telling me where to go becomes MY mistake and ultimately my removal from discussing my own opinion(MOO) as any other player.

Which I think would be devastatingly unfair and un-American or Russian.

@Sheamus
Yes, thanks for the encouragement and thank you for looking at some of the concepts and I will condense this whole into footnotes for you and send you a short revised copy outlining the key details and factors I am referring to. I shall send you it shortly you can count on it.

This I believe is a burgeoning work in process that should be simplified and narrowed down into a palatable outlook that we can theoretically magnify into hopefully some sort of working format...or proposal. Which is why Velniukstis someone referred me to this 'ideas and suggestions' thread which I promptly did. And me myself thought that it would be placed naturally here, but I believe I have been too vague lol.

Either way thank you for getting me too the right place and I can assure you you will not see me in the wrong lobby again talking my head out of my corpus callosum.

I am still inciting this and continuing it's movement until it reaches its conclusive zenith, so any more suggestions or encouraging contributes are very welcome to add in the cauldron of it being brewed.

@_Sworks_

If I were a little girl I would stick my tongue out at you for criticizing, instigating the closure of my attempted creativity. And then attempting to actually discuss it with me. Because I will not. But as a man I will just say I award you no points...and may god have mercy on your soul.

AND I will tell you again what I told you in private as to what you are.

A Conformist with no identity, whose tries to smother others own creativity at the same time, also emphatically trying to prove them wrong for no other reason then you feel they are not honoring your own closed box of intellect on how things should be, which is not even your own originality or intellect, but the rehashed version of others who tell you what to do and you meekly follow with submission written across all your features.

If you felt that you didn't like the material (which you didn't even read and pointed out with weird excitement like a tattle tale rattling off blames on their siblings) and then try to say where it should go...which makes no sense at all...you should have just left it alone and let the moderators find the margin of error for themselves. They really are intelligent enough to figure out these things on their own without the local informant yelling out to them each time someone does something out of context of the rules.

I am respectfully adhering to the rules as best as I can(I am not seeking to rebel, which seems to be what you were implying without any evidence to confirm so) without your burdensome belittling comments trying to estrange my own inputs.

Toward innovating, revolutionizing and encouraging original ideas on a game that supports it's own self by the donations of it's own players...wild speculation should not be encouraged, but compact thought out concepts that can actually help the game should be encouraged IMO.
This sentiment here is exactly what I have been saying, and also why I put the battle links of me fighting a dwarf CL 7 and CL 8 and how the abilities become partial to certain factions, when CL 8 for them is achieved. Though this is me talking about elves, this person is feeling it too and is not an elf and elves really don't even stand a chance and you can find out more in the topic "Elf Woes" in the General game forum sect here is contributing to the sentiment of what EXACTLY I have been saying...

2017-01-18 16:03:27

"....i think that this "runes" story, is making him a superhero... i didnt have a chance to move.
who else except dwarf can do all these things with the first move? reach everywhere (so the otherone cant hide, while he takes your retaliations or make range units useless), give multiple hits and the 2 out of three makes the enemy useless by loosing his turn (the bears gave hits to everyone they were in touch and the 2 of 3 was knockbacks!).
i've played all races but none can achive all these superhero things
no matter the enchantments, there is no race that can win so easy someone (when his attack was 23 and my defence 28 !!!), without even having a chance to make my moves....."

Hear me now a little bit better? And most can stop trying to say it's just the way it is. I do know this but wait a moment is that it? Is that just it? Is this a 2pac song or something?

Who here feels the same?

Guess what the title of this post was?

"Fair Fight."

I think I could say there is more here than meets the eye just like an astrologer can always say AFTER the fact "well look at Elvis Presleys natal chart and how his moon is afflicted and when that transit hit square mars, which is debilitated in Cancer sign, you can see why he went off the deep end at the close of his life"

But they cannot say exactly what will happen before hand. They can only speculate and say hmmma ahhhh yes I think this happened because of this and that.

For people who do not know astrology I am saying yeah you can say this and that about the battle but the fact of the matter is in the proof in the pudding and if you aren't really looking into that pudding you will never find the proof, even if it's right before your eyes. Ignore it if you wish I won't.

This is just more evidence for the group that is supporting me, and encouraged me to make this post, AND for the naysayers, SOME who are just downright rotten...others who actually are awesome and try to prove what they believe without insulting someone.

Sort of like "I do."
Here is the last of that LWM player post and why in fact it was written, besides obviously the battle:

"2017-01-18 15:32:04

Me: full artifact (39-28) and 16% damage enchantment - knight:9 & dwarf:5

opponent: artifact (23-10) and +40% damage enchantment - dwarf:10 & knight:4

...and justice for all..."

That last part about justice should have an eerie echo behind it because really...whatever you want to feel about this is your opinion but don't expect everyone to agree.

Like I said...

Why don't you "Look...harder"
