T7 absolute musts are giants and mirage dragons,
coming in next for me I think is thrones and unfettered cyclops.
Still sticking with an offensive build, though I think defensive is perhaps a better bet.
Morale triggers on giants often determines which way it will go, a stack of 20 of them with bless hits rather hard |

@PLaY LikE a PRo, why did you not take shadow mistresses instead of dark sybils, they cost the same but have higher stats and same mana and spells.
I am guessing your build costs about 1900 crystals, I have 2100 crystals for this round. |

I preferred the presence of shooters, if in some case it could help distract weak AI unit(s) which otherwise might take retal from a stronger unit of mine :) |

I'm playing more on the defensive side, so the low ini just means they don't run out of shots too soon :D

I liked this event, some good thinking involved. And while many armies ended up very similar (usually some overwhelmingly better buys), I never faced exactly the same army twice.
Arts did then become very significant, which relates to how much gold you have. I think it is no surprise that my worse run of losses were when all my better arts were being repaired. However, this is always the case, I think it was just a bit more obvious in this because the armies were basically the same (or could be), and factions didn;t matter. Therefore bias towards one faction or army could not be the fault of anything, the only thing to feel aggrieved at for not being top of the table is a) yourself for not choosing a good enough army or playing as well or b) the other person having better arts
If choosing between those, it always make you feel better to blame something else and not yourself, whether it is really fully the case or not!
Realistically it will be both of them.
Still I hope to finish in the top 500, that will do me. |
