Learn my lesson, invest in cannons a bit more. I was sitting on 500 silver saving for the next ship. I guess that was the wrong call. Hindsight is 20:20

For those caged animals, if you break the cage would they join you? And with your A+D parameters auto-applied?
It appears hopeless if not having any extra help for this battle:

I would expect them to join you, and a low hp for the cage, so that helps.
Should be viable, but tricky and depends what you have available.
Use witches to cast delay on top hero troops to allow a full stack of leaping pirates to move first, they should be able to one shot the main danger due to high movement. Your mini flying ice dragons(assyids and ocean spirits maybe, I cannot remember troop names) may need to sacrifice themselves to clear you corner shooters. A stack of pirate corsairs can then catch the dragons, and cannons and the remaining should be able to clear up. If desired you could use a talent build to have tactics to allow the smaller exposed shooter to get directly hit with strike and return troop |
for bp99:
one different battle I freed a black boar in a cage and he joined me |
one different battle I freed a black boar in a cage and he joined me
I remember that battle. I hesitated to free the boar and lost badly on that battle. |
