Why I think so: Started as unfavorite side, after just loosing (badly) in the same 2x2 setting (except vs another dark elf). It ran bad all combat long... except the ending.
Having a pack of 40% rapid-ed minos and hydras on garg's tail, both bursting every couple turns, is no easy sight for any wiz...
What made the twist was *teamwork* (not someone's +2 or +3 defense, or faction level), and constant watch over the whole battlefield by my partner. Stoning gargs when needed, then enemy dispersed, then stone again and again, all in all 4 times stoned and once rapid gave the little inch that made a comfortable distance in the end. |
