Are they worthed their 25k gold you need to expend for having them?
They look pretty good, 14hp each and high ini.....but they sucks so much when they range.......
And how poison exactly works? the poison for 2 rounds is inflicting at the poisoned unit 1 damage for each poisoner at the moment of the poisoning, or its is like get for 2 rounds as they where attacked at the moment of the poisoning?
If you have 10 poisoners they will inflict for 2 rounds 10 damage each time or 20-40 damage each time? |

Poison is a daage of time that does 2 ful game rounds damage, is the target has a high initiatif, they will take damage more often (they get their turn 3 or 4 times in 2 full game rounds.
poison damage is 1 hp per poisoner that hit it 10 poisoners - 10 dmg / turn of targeted critter. |

| buting poisoners is lost of money - they are totally useless. they have small damage - each do 1HP in all battles (described 2-4 is a fake). So you will max 11 damage each turn + 11 damage from poison. It sounds like a farse, but it isnt funny if you pay 7k gold, 40 wood and 30 sulphur. I dont see any dark elf who use poisoners in battles, so my opinion is right. |

poisoners (and bandits) have 'range penalty' and 'no melee penalty'
2-4 dmg -/- 50% (range penalty) = 1-2
add a 50% over half range = 1 dmg aye.
try to melee with them, then ye get the 2 - 4 dmg (no melee penalty) and ye be suprised at the results.
the poison upgrade can make them good enough at shooting for a round or 2, since every target gets added poison damage NOT based on actual dmg done, but on ammount of poisoners |
| So in the end are they really worth going out of your way for such a huge cost? I mean, even with the poison it doesn't seem like much for the money. |
