the raise spell



Authorthe raise spell
its not fair to let other factions cast raise then you our name is the undead at least let us have more advsntge in this spell like raising ally perished troops or enmy troops to serve you
you have a huge advantage with raise dead

1: the raised stack becomes undead, that is a big morale hit to all other stacks in army (but not for, well, you know, necro's)

2: any not undead stack raised loses 40% hp (instead of 20 if undead).

and well, you have the spell from lvl 1, others not before lvl8

actually, only wizards can use it reasonably safe, since gargs and golems will not be affected by the morale loss (but can also not be raised), so if your mages and djinn's are dead, you can start to raise those.

elves, it will be a very desperate elf that will use raise dead 9only 1 stack of druids left or so
I think necros derserve that spell even though most times they lose with it.
i agree with romiah but mak it cost more to revive other heroes troops like 12 or 15 mana instead of 9. any one else have any suggestions.
well i think that necromancers are kinda balanced.
there ghost are strong but defesless if they get hit by like a swordsmon or sumthing (large amount) there ashes then stand on them and u should stand on them wuth rouge or shrew as they have strike and return abilaity. As for vamps jus use heroes and range.
skeletons well there not very good only when there skeletal bowmen....
just aim 4 there heads. if they still have it
zombies. minotuars are realy strong against zombies.
liches ahh how am i supposed to know...
and besides wizards get raise at a higher lvl when they build there magic scholl number i forgot
i think necros r quite balanced after lvl 5.
as ghosts r highly vulnerable to magic so can be easily killed before attacking.
well i am a wizard so i have no prob with vampires.
n i keep punching skels so i had just 2 consecutive wins from necros.
i even let them raise vamp to gain more exp.
for enyone who has played heroes of might and magic 3 (the best one) will know the spells they have and if i could list them with their effects u will see that there is more raising spells than just that one e.g. sacrifice, destroy 1 creature to rezz another.

also in heroes 3 there is 2 spells that are similar 1 called animate dead that only rezzes undead and one called raize dead which raizes anything.

Raising Dead for ANY faction other than necro totally and utterly SUCKS.

It states that when raised previously living creature is resurrected, all other living stacks of that army get -2 morale.

What it DOESN'T tewll you is that the -2 completely, 100% ignores current morale.

EG:
All my troops have +2 morale.
After raising a stack, all my remaining troops had -2 morale.
It seriously needs rewording.
It's not just -2, it's total morale becomes -2 (in my case it subtracted 4 morale!).
So, regardless of morale parameter, after raising, all the rest of the living get -2.

And I was so excited to get the skill, only to find it is 99% useless :(
its just a last resort for any faction other than necro
