It is inconvenient that when I joined a group battle, waiting for more people so that the battle can start, I can not withdraw. And when nobody joined for a very long time, I had to wait there and couldn't do anything (you are already in challenge)
It is possible if the group battle never has enough people to join, then you are stuck like forever:)

in an optional/ evenly, suddenly want to swap sides for that one looks better? no way.
nah, just do not do optional battles, they only start when all spots are filled, and with one not filled, they cancel, plus those always take a long time and are the evil, uneven types of battle (the reason it takes 30 minutes to even get some people to join on the losing side.
most of the times, a good random battle can be filled up in the 5 minutes timer, so just do those, not much time lost then (and with even 1 other, the battle will go on, in only 5 minutes max) | | how about provide 'withdraw' to any type of group battle, as long as the battle is not started; but have a penalty of a time period (for example, 5 min) during with the withdrawer can not join battle , to avoid abuse of such functionality. This at least solves the 'forever stuck' situation. | You can specify a time limit for when the battle will start, does that not work, or are you stuck waiting in matches where the creator set the 'begin in' really high? Regardless, it would be nice if there were lower limits available, perhaps have the minimum be 2 minutes.
I know a lot of games are clearly rigged, but there are still plenty of potential for even sided matches with optional. I don't know anything about clans on this game, but optional also seems like the only match type where one can setup a specific clan vs clan lineup (perhaps they have their own structure entirely?), so it would be nice if specific issues were addressed as opposed to throwing out entire match types.
Of course, no one is making anyone click on long/uneven matches, and the game provides a good amount of information before hand, so for now, just be picky. | | short answer to this read the "upcoming features" section of this forum.
