AuthorClan Territory War
After reading H4nd's Clan War : Battle of Honour thread and doing several mercenary guild quests , this thought struck me .

What if , clans can have contol over the mining , processing and manufacturing buildings . Say , for example in Yellow Lake , Clan X has control of the Sulfur Dunes and the Leather Armor factory , while Clan Y has control of the Leather Armor Factory . These two clans will fight for control of each other's factories , while at the same time they can submit contracts to the mercenary guild for help attacking or defending their turf . The two gangs will fight with each other or with other clans in the area to gain dominance in the Yellow Lake Area . This can also happen in other areas , so every clan will get a chance of getting some infrastructure .

However , I think problems with this idea is :

- the clans will need to wrestle control of the infrastructure from player Empire (hopefully , she will put up a good defence at first)
- how to fight for control of the infrastructure . What sort of battlefield will it be ? 10 vs 10 or 5 2vs2 rounds , the clan which wins the most battles will win or maybe something else .
- and also , anyone could state what they think will be the problem with this idea .

The pro's of this idea is :

- clans can generate some revenue if they manage to control a certain factory . (they'll need to pay for the upkeep of the factory like salary and whatnot , I'm sure the developers will think of something as a game mechanic)
- clan will be able to advertise their goods , like for the description for Steel Blade , it will write 'made by Clan X's factory' or something .
- if they manage to control an area , they can write a caption like 'Yellow Bay , Stronghold of Clan Y' . This will make the clan gleam with in-game pride ...

However , there are certain issues that might prevent this :

- the game world needs more areas , so it will not be congested with up to 10 clans fighting over a factory
- we need more factories .as written by administration , players will be able to create their own factories and whatnot . (Hopefully , a newly-constructed factory/infrastructure will have at least 1 month immunity from attack so as not to burden the builders

As mentioned , clans can give contracts to the merc guild worth anything , like gold or resources , this will make the economy booming .

I know my idea is not exactly perfect , so anyone is welcome to add any ideas , suggestion or comments . Thanks for reading .
Clans will also be able to set their headquarters where they feel is most secure for them and set it up in the public services category of each area .

1. Introduce dwellings and warehouses as private property.

So players wil be able to buy facities..

And in any case - soon there will be a great number of clans, much more then territories or facilities

And besides , we are not going to evict people out of their homes , this is just about facilities being taken over . But then again if the idea of stealing people's property , then maybe this should not be made canon with this game . This is , after all , an idea .

Personally , I myself would hate to have my expensive factory stolen from me . So yeah , maybe this is too brutal ...
