AuthorAFK penalty idea, please read!
As I am sure we all know and have been victim of AFK people... something needs to be done (I just spent 50 minutes in a group battle where 1 member of the opposing side went AFK, followed by my 2 teammates). Here is what I propose:

AFK penalty: XP/Skill loss

Player loses XP/Skill for AFKing out of battle, based on level and turn timer. The higher the level, the more you lose. The longer the turn timer, the more you lose. The XP/Skill lost gets split evenly amongst all players that FINISH the battle. Heck maybe even include a gold penalty or something.

Now the specifics on how much a player would lose would be up for debate, but it should not be too high or too low: too high and you over-penalize those who are legitimately interrupted by something IRL. Too low and it won't work: the penalty would not outweigh the 'joy' these AFKers get out of making other people wait forever to play.

Thoughts or ideas on this? Or maybe even an agree reply :)
I agree, but an alternate would be that if lvl 1 a gold penalty. At lvl 2+ if they have any castle upgrades built, it downgrades to the rebuild stage. lvl 3 where they most likely have more than 1. Everytime they afk out it downgrades 1 of there castle upgrades.
Both of you , I'd say your ideas are a little too harcore because most AFKers , if not all didn't do it on purpose or were helpless in the situation . Taking XP/Skill is bad enough , deconstructing castle upgrades are just too brutal .

I think the current system is fair enough . BTW , I doubt that anyone would enjoy AFKing because it has no benefit at all . The AFKer will still have to wait for a recharge . I think the worst punishment would be a gold penalty , although I think the current system is fair enough . You 2 must have been stood up quite often to suggest these harcore solutions .
I get AFKed on every other game, so obviously the current system is not working. And if they are willing to sit there for 15 minutes to AFK out, I don't think waiting on recharge is going to bother them.
Though I would have to agree losing upgrades would be a huge penalty, since that can be a lot of money (a LOT more penalty than I had in mind.. more like .1% of xp total but thats me)

Well, Anien,

looking at you batt;e log, there really is no reason for you to get a higher AFK rate even.

for 1: to get those battle setups filled you will need to have set long timers -> long times is ppl do something else
2: one side has no chance, well, why bother, they go read a book, watch a comic and let you wait.

AFK happens, yes, but it most often happens when you are on a clearly losing side and then esp if it was setup like that, on a random it is less of a problem, you know it can happen.

start doing fair battles, like lvl4 3 vs 3 random, it will fill up in 5 minutes, everyone will be there due to short time and guess what? you can lose
If you talk about that some players faint out and dont move thier troops until the timer runs out i totally agree = we dont want little kids in this game!!
I believe that the current penalty is good seeing as you would need to wait 15 minutes to recharge your troops and also get a -2 luck for 2 hours which is a massive pain, and t can cause losses for you. I admit i have been AFK before but it was intended as seeing once my computer froze up, another my girlfriend called, i had to go somewhere though i thought i had enough time to finish battle but i was wrong. For all those situations i apologized and thankfully i was never in group battle for those...
Oh and if you are in an unfair battle where the odds are greatly stacked on the opposing side and they decide that no matter what they would lose and they go AFK then DONT complain you shouldnt make silly challanges like that eg. 3 vs 2 all same lvl that unfair and if the 2 go AFK dont complain you deserve it.
