When we try to protest about the profiteering of people in the trade section, we use 'sarcastic' language and parody.
Some overly-zealous forum mods are too quick to judge that it is a useless post. They don't see the underlying meaning behind the message, and apply rule 4.1.
I don't consider some of these as useless messages. We contribute by highlighting that there is a real shortage of items. Game admin will then know what is happening and add more factories.
If the forum moderators are so trigger-happy to slap 4.1, delete our messages, and ignore our contributions,
1. You are ignoring the problems the players face.
2. We will be reluctant to contribute in future. Why bother when it may be deleted anyway?
3. If we say the wrong thing, we're banned. Creativity is stifled. We better 'toe-the-line'. We have 40000+ people registered in this game. How many people really bother to post in the forums?
The moderators are too over-sensitive. How can you just delete something when you haven't fully understood its meaning? When the message is on the borderline case of meaningful/not meaningful, why are you so quick to judge?
Some messages are blatently useless. I agree. But when it lies on the borderline, and it is deleted, you are stifling the creative content in this forum, and the discussion of issues in the game.
Mods, please interpret Rule 4.1 seriously. Not all posts are useless. |
