| your racial skill points should be well into 4 by level 5. then 3 for hunter and 2 for labour. |

I'm necro and combat 5, hunter 3, Necro racial 4 almost 5, 2 almost 3 labor. It helps but it's not required.
For Necro racial ability is definitely important |
| same with knight, that's where you get your troops from |
