Actually, spelt and spelled are both acceptable. Spelt is mainly used in british english (lol) and spelled is mainly american english.

| Spelling doesn't typically get on my nerves too much, provided it's not outrageously horrible and impossible to understand what the person meant. It's really crappy grammar that truly gets on my nerves. I mean, a spelling mistake doesn't make your statement impossible to understand, but when people start screwing up grammar I have a hard time understanding what they try and say. |
