AuthorIdeas about Tavern, economy, etc
Some random thoughts...

1) The tavern game: between two players who know what they're doing, the person who goes first has a huge advantage, likely between two equally skilled players the one who goes first will win 80% of the time.

2) Economy: There is no incentive to be a merchant, the profit margin is much too low compared to the wages for labor. The economy is not free market, it's state property (since all the mines, factories, etc... are all owned by the empire). Therefore the workshops cannot sustain profitability and need to be constantly subsidized by the state. To fix the economy, wages for labor must be lower, and workshops must produce more desirable products.

3) Monopoly of resources: There is only one gem mine that has ~1100 gems. A coalition of wealthy players could conceivably buy up all of the existing gems as well as new gems in production and turn around selling them at market for any price they set.

4) Game balance... well for level 3-4, knights, necros, wizards and demons are really underpowered compared to dark elf, elf and barb.

Knight: If Orcs or Elf bows shoot shoot the bowmen dead, they have nothing else.

Necros: All they have are Ghosts which can fold like paper, and it's really easy to step on the remains to prevent reanimation. They're units are also ineffectual for the first half of the game.

Wizards: They're ok, but they're level 1-3 units have absolutely no damage potential.

Demons: They're ok, but hellhounds can't take a beating, really one of the worst melee level 2-3 units (compared to minos, rogues, fk, wolf raiders, orcs, swords and even ghosts). They need more hp or something.

necros, do not take those kind of risks with ghosts, proper waiting of hero can negate risks of being unable to ress

demons, do not rush those hellhounds forward like there is no tomorrow, they need to be backed up

wizards, are quite fine as they are, none of their units will do super dmge, but it is all about the wizzy casting


also, lvl 3-4 will not take that long
