| When I come to the forums here, looking for information specific to a faction, it's actually surprisingly difficult to find what I really want. If each faction had a sub-section, information about playing as/against each faction would be easier to share and build upon. | | nah i don't think that is such a good idea | Is there a reason you don't think so? The idea is executed in other very successful game forums.
This allows and encourages players who have experience with a particular faction to share their knowledge with others who are interested in that faction, without the difficulty of having to browse through the hundreds of posts in which they have less interest. It also allows moderators to better control the garbage posters, since the topic of a particular sub-forum is better defined, thus adding in the weeding out the non-informative and non-constructive posts.
Also worth considering - posts which are extremely informative and useful for players can be stickied for each faction. If this were to be done now, the first page for the forum would be just a wall of stickies. My suggestion reduces possible clutter at the top of the general forums page while, again, making it easier to access truly useful information. |
