Authorsurrender and retreat
If someone must go away from a battle or feeling he/she will lose, maybe there should 2 buttons to help them.

Retreat(this is suggested many times): flee from battle, gain no exp, skill points and need to recover troops from zero

Surrender: Pay x amount of gold per hitpoints remaining to enemy, and just need to restore troops partially.(like go out from battle with 15% troops)
for retreat ppl might use it when they no they will loose a battle so might be bad but idk
if the people run away from the battle then whoever wins would get fewer experience points because they've killed fewer people and that doesnt seem fair.

But you could implement a system to recieve more experience when a surrender or retreat is announced, because of the fear factor, and the thought of hopelessness. aka, the other team completely dominated.

this might be abuse by some people to helps others gain experience

thats a good point. maybe we could just divide the "killing" of what was left when the enemy retreated by the ratio that has already been set between two people, and so the experience would be how it would have been, no more no less. and the same in the duel, just don't have to divide the "kills" between 2-3 people.
what about if you were to have a give up button and when you give up you lose some gold to the opponent and you start at zero but it takes longer heal back so people really dont want to give up. and instead of when they have afk'd to many turns then they auto give up instead of just die
