AuthorIs this game stagnant?
That doesn't matter since players are struggling to reach level 10.
this game is a BIG money making sheme, imo.
who "donates"^^ 10-25 bucks nearly every pl-lvl and even 80 =.= for a thiev invite for game improvements, if there has been none, for months??!

For dat money I can play a grown-up MMORPG with 20 different servers,
(I have a special new one, with orcs-high elves-dwarfs-humans etc. in mind^^)
with a service morale since they are planning to update their games for 3 years and more! WoW is still on the throne. AND i know about the vague feature of da game and a secure price-sheme, too.
I would hate to quit playing only because of "upgraded" donation-systems.^^
AND I get graphics, "refreshments" and thousands of gradually increasing things every week or days?
so invest BIG money and time into a game, where even original lvl 4 battle-spells or upgrades for lvl 5 creatures are not yet available or reachable or promissed in the next years?? i dont get it. oO

the most active players could be old HOMM veterans from long past times^^, or
people with VERY weak PC-hardware and/or internet connection.

and of course not to forget them, who dont want to spend ANY money into games.
Im something in between, since im a veteran on work most of the time, with a notebook and 3G internet connection on his side :D
Not nearly fast enough for fighting ravaging griffons and spellweaving dwarf-mages in real-time-ego-view ;)

but this foul kapitalistic attempt seems to be a BIG success, as I see more and more people having upgraded troops, and that already in lvl 6!??

I hate seeing how even the taste of money (/->acceptance in family, public and so called "world"/) slowly corrupts even hard-core idealistic fans like the creators of this web-game have been in the past, id guess. but thats wat all is about, isnt it? "get rich (if needed by killing) and/or die trying".

but not in MY world, dudes :(

to Chef:

Though I disagree in that hunting-assist-exp thingy of yours, I fully agree on mods infantile and wannabe-leader behaviour towards players. I mean that not as a description of the behavior, only . its also fact of nature, since i am a few years older (I think 3-17 years) than the mods here, its really hard to endure 13 years olds online rubbish-talk.
a few posts and topics of mine are gone too, a few hours I after I wrote dem. if a child would do that IN FRONT of me, it wont get away dat easily^^, dats for sure. Orcs can get really angry xD

"an old veteran like me doesnt give up hope dat easily, but this island seems just to be a bad copy of long gone battle-grounds , and i will sail to new shores in a while.
but u never know with old sea-bears , do u?" xD

greez
i got many refers 5 ppl quit because of 15 minute wait for hp....

Any arguments straightly against ME?

You won't be banned, I promise. )
no, i havent noticed any rude behaviour from u, dArt. u have been polite and normal to others, as far as I saw :)

ban my a.. :D

ban my a.. :D

I made a promise :-P
i got many refers 5 ppl quit because they say the graphic is not nice
This is a flash game. Graphics are quite good for that standard actually.
for Dreadclaw:

Probably these were some young people, which prefer graphics to the gameplay...

*sigh*

- Mods don't care
Moderators attempt to explain game rules without concern for morals and values. Their replies are cold and calculating. E.g. They do not care if someone wore arts to a no-arts match. They give unsatisfactory replies "he is not breaking the rules. topic closed.", and are non-apologetic. But nobody wants to hear that crap! Totally no service quality. If I were a mod, i would have replied "i'm sorry that happened. i have no power to punish him. but i'll send a note to give that guy a warning."

If you don't care, people can't be bothered to complain anymore. Since what we say, will never be taken seriously. People will leave this game.

Even if its not in the rules, it will destroy any interest/value/gameplay due to imbalance. Don't you get it, mods?

Dear Chefs, I get your point about this and maybe you are right in some cases.

But as a mod I have a couple of comments to make about it, if I may?

First it is a fact that mods need to choose their words carefully, because many people are kind of ''expecting'' something form the mods. They see mods as the stage between player and admin, and maybe they are right about that. That is not up to me to decide.

Second, the problem about that is that the moderators have to be a model for the other players, maybe because of that they react a bit cold and calculating as you say it.

I shall now give a few examples to let you know why it can be that sometimes the reactions of mods are cold.

-Mods are also playing this game for their fun and do the moderating work because they want to help the game. But if they come home from a day of hard work IRL and they see topics that have been post many times before, I personally can understand that the reaction is a bit cold then.

-Or when the moderators have a bad day IRL and then come to the game and try to do a little moderating work they also can react a bit irritated.

As you can see there are a lot of reasons why moderators can react the way you describe.

I agree that everyone is playing this game for their enjoyment and that it is better to have a post that is made with an explanation and is written in a fashionable way.

I think that there are a couple of solutions for this problem:

1. Try to use the search button of the forum before you ask a question, to make sure your question is ''new'.
2. Send a private messgae to the moderator when you have a comment about the way he/she the reaction is made. You can also do this when a topic is closed/or you are banned, as mostly the moderator that did this will leave a message behind. (If I speak for myself this will help a lot, this week I had such a message and we came to an agreement).
3. Please don't ask the moderators about game developments or something, we can't influence this process and we only get irritated when we hear this complaint over and over again..

This was my contribution to this discussion, please feel free to comment.
Yeah. ) Do not fear to tell things you want to ) You'll not be banned until there's something rude/offensive/against the game rules )
why do ppl say it is a money making sheme?

ye do not have to pay for all og it, i got my thief invite and shrews without buying diamonds too.

and for a free game, it is definetly not bad
Well it's indeed free, you can play it without donating money, so you can decide if you want to play free or buy for extra stuff, like units and thieves invite.

And believe me that the admins are working on new updates, we only have to wait a little bit longer, but we can still hunt, work and play a PvP battle, so I guess that the game isn't that boring.
It is also a more forgiving game if you can't get to the computer for a day or two. Nothing bad happens if you don't log in for a week which I like a lot. Much better suited to having a real life than playing something like Travian or WoW.

As far as the mods and their "coldness" I tend to prefer it that way. Being to nice at a moderating job gets too many "mommy-may-I" requests and I'd be rather annoyed with that in their shoes. Being somewhat cold and aloft let's the mods do their jobs better as it makes it easier to enforce the rules.

And the next time the server is running smooth without any lag, thank a donor.

for Karoc:
thanks for a good characteristic)
There was a stopping point in this game, but now it's over.
Administrators are working really hard to bring you some new stuff)
Just wait a lil bit)

I have my one mod-style ) A bit inactive, but friendly. Kind of lazy philosopher, but open to user's questions. )

And I like compliments ^^ My weakness.
dartagnan you use to be a bit inactive but now i see you all over the forem XD

Btw the game has been a little bit slow. the only thing keeping me busy is my clan and leveling to 7 so frustrating. only need 2000 exp lost group battles over 7 time now resulting to duels...

I don't have any idea but will the mod upgrades come out in december or near the new year?

The season of flood has begun ^^

I think it will be October. )
I am happy to know that the Administrators are once again working on the game

However, there is one think I'd like to ask.
If there's anything that all these years playing MMO's has taught me (I come all the way back since UO) is that players like to be kept in on the loop.
I'm not going to be overly critical, but I think you've made a mistake by not telling us anything. You left for weeks, and now that you're supposedly back, we're hearing it from the forum moderators. A small bit of news every once in a while goes a long way in keeping a playerbase happy - and playing and paying - and it's really not that much of a deal. I'm not talking about new content. Just a topic saying you're still there, and that you're working hard. I doubt you're doing it on purpose, and I'm sure you've all had parfectly good reasons for being quiet all this time, but you must realize that it ostracizes the players, specially the ones who invest in this game the most.

Best regards
Kimbert
