In this topic, members of the faction are asked to discuss everything, that concerns THIS faction: skills, stats, tactics etc.

I think if you let people to choose again, more than half will not choose elf anymore. The only thing prevent them to change their faction is that the faction skill: with faction skill 0, it is very hard to become neco, wizard, knights, etc at level 5 above. Here the question I asked

Assuming the players are equally smart, equipped equally well:
how can an elf beat wizard at level 5 or above?
how can elf beat neco at level 5 or above?
how can elf beat knight at level 5 or above?
how can elf beat bar at level 5 or above?

The answer may be you should be lucky, lucky, and lucky. Let lucky ball fall you every time and you did critical damage every time.
i think elves have it easier in level 5 to beat necro than before. A lot of firepower they have, but maybe with raise dead necro can finally beat elf, i think it's quite even.

necro are difficult to beat when they have a high factionskill so many skel bowmen. then again vamps die with one turn by bowmen. so first turn kill bskelbowmen and second turn go for vamps. If the other makes 1 mistake you win.

Knights are easily killed, first turn you kill bowmen with your elf bowmen and druids lightning on swordmen! when griffins come close you kill them with bowmen and left over with fk, after that wait for swords to be close and start attacking, try to keep your fk alive, it is ok to sacrafice a druid to take away retail.

Wizards are even more easy, kill the mages first and then just head for the golems, one luck with your fk and more then half of the golems are dead, make use of their low initative

barbarian is tricky, try to kill orc asap, after which you take out the wolf or hobgoblins as they do massive damage. Ogre are so slow that they can easily be killed by a group of fk, maybe use a druid to take away retail.

Dark elf does not need to be discussed as they are quite easy, remember to keep soem arrows for the mino's as they have massive hp

regarding 5. My results
Necro. The hero has always gone before the skeletal bowmen when i've fought them making whatever damage i do useless because they just rez them and one hit from them doesn't significant damage considering you only have 120 health (12 bowmen x 10)

Knight. I take out the bowmen with my druids lightning, kill the griffins with my bowmen (even when out of range) and use what ever mana, shots, or forest keepers i have left in a kamikaze against swordsmen.

Wizards. Have equal initiative to elven ranged units so you'll usually end up losing most of your bowmen before they go and your Forest Keepers aren't nearly strong enough to finish off the Gargoyales and golems while taking the heros' spells

Barbarian. The Orcs have a higher initiaive than bowmen and with the magic reduction druids aren't very helpfull. Combined even you damage bowmen and weakened druids have a tough time killing the orcs alone and leaving the rest up to the forest keepers is out of the question.

Dark Elves. Take out the rogues and the rest will follow. they're pretty simple.
For Kiwi, you are so lucky. First kill the ske bowman? You must be kidding me. 105 ske bowman is 420 hp, how can elf bowman kill them with one shot? Remember your elf bowman only have 140 hp.

For wizard, you must be kidding me. You must talk about wizard without mini arts. With mini arts, magi move first, and your bowman die before even can give a shot. Remember, wizard's most powerful army is gar, esp upgraded ones!
20 hp, 10 init, 7 speed, they can hit your fk before you can hit them. And they are immune to lighting.

For knights, you want to kill their bowman, yes yes. Most knights always bring a few bowman. I do some study with my clanmates, actually knights can bring 53 bowman at level 5 and around 70 at level 6, 94 at level 8. 94 bowman with damage 1-8 at level 8, how your bowman compare with them?

For bar, it is not tricky at all. Orcs can kill your bowman, most of them before you can move (they have 11 init). Tell me how you can kill their orcs? They also magic proof!

I agree dark elf is easy
I respect this faction so much .. So hard to defeat them coz their init and attack .... but lack of hp and def .. so if the tactics are good, they can be slayed .... At level 5 i ever fought 3 - 3 against 3 elves for 4 times and won for 3 times .... just 1 defeat .... but once again .. I am afraid of elves, especially their lorekeepers, fks and elite fks .... also elvens and grandmaster bowmen ... they are the most dangerous enemies ever for me ...

I'm a lvl 5 necromancer and i hate facing elves because they always crush me so badly. They can kill my bowmen so easily, and then shoot down my vamps and their druids ligtning attack always hits my ghosts. Skeleton bowmen are actually quite weak and are only a threat in large numbers. Elves just slaughter necros all the time. Most of the time i've lost before i can even reach their druids and even if i do there is always a forest keeper waiting to kill whats left. Necromancers aren't even a challenge for elves.
Wizard and Dark Elf are more powerful thean you think.The Magic Arrow.
to Randhy:Lorekeeper is for wizard.Well,it is not really.Everything depend on luck when you go to LV5.Because luck luck luck.Ussally you hardly win without luck.Then good.
To Serpentguy: you only have faction skill 3, so wait for faction skill 4. You have 105 bowman, it will be totally different. That is another thing I want to complain, one level faction skill help a lot for wizard, knight, neco, but that only means 4% more chance, which is 1/25!
rosaic, you have efk, it should be easy for you to beat necro.

as usual split your troops to: 2 druids, 2 druids, 2 druids, 14 bowmen, 26 efk, 1 efk, 1 efk.

Move your efk so that you can attack skel in next turn. Off course you have to kill the creatures that protect the skel before you can attack skel.
Remember, don't move too close, stay in range of 6 so it will be out of range for skel too shoot you.

Use druids to stone 26 efk, another druids to stone 14 bowmen, and last stack to light necro's cretures which protect skel.
If it's skel's position is already open, use your efk to attack skel.

use your 2 stacks of 1 efk to block or to take retal.

The most important is timing. You should arrange that after the necro's troop that protect is killed, no other necro's troop has turn to move to that tile, replacing their friend.
It needed, use druids or hero to wait, wait for perfect moment.
I would agree efk is good, but that need diamond. In the meanwhile, I also agree PVP, infected zombie is not that great. But most players do not use diamonds.
To special one, 14 elf bowman will lost at least half by ske bowman in the first round. Even their hero can do the magic pounch, kill 2-3 depends on the spell power. So, probably you do not have any bowman left. If efk can hit ske bowman, his vampire and ghost can kill half of efk in first round. Then ...., they can resur, resur, resur. Even with efk, hard to tell
I don't use EFK in level 5 or 6, but i use them in level 7.

I know the difference number of troops in level 5,6 and 7 can give different result, but i hope these combat example can give you some idea about how to fight against necro.
Even without EFK, you can still do pretty well.

This is my combat with knight in level 6, it might be just that I'm lucky she went for recruits, not bowmen.

My suggestions for level 5's.

Necros-easy to beat (even with skele bowmen). Druids 1st use lightning on ghost, then bowmen shoot the skeles 1st. That should take away about a quarter of the skeles at least. Much less damage. The ghost should't be all gone-just leave them there (won't do much damage-just stay away from them).
Now you should focus on vampire, and use your 1 fk to step on them when it is done.Just slowly kill all others.

Knight: Quite the same as necro actually, druid lightning the bowmen, and elven bowmen shoot griffins.Do this twice and the bowmen should be gone, with less than 5 griffins left. 1 more turn for fk and elve bowmen to kill the griffins, then slowly kill swordmen, although it miight be a close shave.

Barbs: They will 75% of the time win, so don't bother fighting with them because of their ogres and orcs

Wizard: The druids can usually take out magi before any real damage is done, but the problem is the golems and gargoyles. They both have more hp than your fks and elven bowmen, gargoyles are lightning proof(your druids cant do much damage this way), and golems only take 50%0 of magic, all these make your druids almost useless after killing magi.

Dark Elves: You should kill the rogues, then the lizards, but there is only a 50% chance of winning because a dark elf can spike your druids and elven bowmen, very fatal for those who use druids to protect elven bowmen from melee attacks.

Demons: Druids kill Succubi with lightning, try to avoid attacking succubi with elven bowmen, instead attack wolfhounds (spawns if he/she has them). Avoid demons until the end of the battle. This should be quite easy because of the demons slow speed and initiative.
Special one, obviously you are better equipped against your opponent, and your opponent only have 50 mana in the last combat. I did not say Elf can not win, but they need to be lucky to win (with low probability)

Not to Le, do not forget wizard can have mini arts, magi are faster than your druid!
2 of 3 battles I shown you is tournaments battle, so all of us must use best artifacts. I never check but I am sure my opponent use best arts too.

50 mana is more than enough, remember, everytime a necro raise, his creatures lost 20% HP. So after 2 times of raising, it's useless to make the third raise since they are too weak.
