They say there did exist a tradition among the battle veterans and heroes of the past. The custom to meet regularly and determine the most brave, wit, battle-hardened and skilled among themselves. Several days were devoted entirely to carrying out all kinds of tournaments. Several days of real testament of one's valor and prowess. The legacy of times long forgotten, the knowledge considered lost forever...
Until recently. Two months have passed since the end of First Minor Tournament - the first attempt of reviving old glorious tradition. Weeks of hard work in Mage Guild, thorough research of Empire Library parchments and analysis of bard's fables of the past - all that allowed the deciphering of the following manuscript. This particular one describes a Blindfold type of tournaments held in ancient times.
Unlike Minor tournaments, Blindfold ones suggest the blindfold challenge type, i.e. 4 heroes compete on same arena where everybody relies on himself only. They rival for the points awarded - from 0 points for the first out, to 3 points for those standing last. He or she, who gets the most points as the sum of all battles' results - is proclaimed the champion of the Blindfold Tournament.
"Hail, citizens of the Empire, hear my words!" yelled the Herald "For the First Blindfold Tournament is about to start soon!"
"As a tribute to the customs," he continued, "all participating heroes will wear headmasks or helmets covering the face - so that you don't know your foe until the battle ends. Spellweavers of the Empire will maintain the Silence spell on the Arena battlefield - so that not a single word distracts you. For the only person you can trust fully - is yourself only..."
And so it comes - the First Blindfold Tournament, which will start on October 3. This kind of tournaments usually lasts for one week and has less ammunition restrictions, than Minor one. Take your time and prepare yourself.
