Hello, since I saw a thread in "Complaints and Applications" forum with a request to remove me as mod I want to know your opinion, players.
If you think im a bad mod, write a reason why do you think so, and support it with a link, and I will try to prove my point to you.
If you think im too passive, just write so.

Since this is the off-game forum I will not write as a fellow moderator here, but instead as a general player.
First of all I would like to start off by saying that most of what a general user write on a forum very often results un very little but spam. General users tend to troll, flood, spam and write nonsense to their little hearts content, not caring about what they actually write.
Secondly, I do agree that for the serious user it is of course irritating to have their well thought out post deleted or blocked. I fully understand how that feels since I myself tend to write long posts that are usually overlooked.
Thirdly I would like to take this opportunity to remind people that the mods are here to do a job: To lessen the impact of spam and make the community enjoyable for most people. This means it is the mods job to delete posts, lock threads, ban players and so on.
Now, is Kush doing a bad job? Personally I haven't really noticed anything especially bad about him. All mods gather 'enemies' as the go along, since deleting a post is bound to upset someone.
As I said, I haven't noticed anything in particular about Kush, which leads me to assume that he is doing his job as he should.
As Kush himself asked, please bring forth links to post where you think he has done wrong, and those shall be reviewed. |
First of all, I am not a moderator :)
I agree that one of the moderator should be removed from moderators group (based on my personal opinion.. of course), but he is not you Kush, that's for sure :)
I don't know if it is too much to ask, but could you (moderators) at least give a warning / information before you start to delete post or banned people?
And please give a clear explanation, instead of
--Player banned by moderator ..... "1 local rule" :)--
And be careful when you banned people with the reason "Flood".
Sometimes, they are not flooding. They are just expressing their opinion, and according to me, it is worth it and still related to the topic. So, don't banned or lock the topic just because you can do it.
I guess..not all people bother about reading a topic called "Read me first" about new rules in CaA :) (although it is a sticky topic). They didn't even realize the topic was there, and the date is relatively new.
In real world, if there is a new rule, you have to give some times to socialize the rule and make people well informed about it in a period of time.
In that period, there shall be some leniency first. After the period is over (let's say - one week) then you can start forcing the rule.

| well, in my opinion i think ur doing fine, and as stated above All mods gather 'enemies' as the go along even i have many enimies, though that doesn't make me a bad moderator. i acctually think it is a good thing, it means people didn't like being banned, and shouldn't do it again. i have lots of enemies simply cuz i have banned them at some point in time. though don't worry kush, u r doing fine. just prt of the job |

But in my opinion, if you had give them warning first.. they have nothing else to say for whatever action you take

Do you think police will catch every person without telling them that they had commit something wrong first? That is law, I think.

So there is no way to give warnings there, and I do give warnings anywhere on the forum (1 minute ban, or just a message).
People still don't listen.

| Why would anyone want you to not be a mod. You're not even one of the mods lots of people hate. Through my eyes this how I see it: Mods are appointed by administrators, Administrators are true guardians of the game therefore mods are not true guardians fore they were appointed(I think this is how people think because its how I think, I think). |
