For many reasons, all players are not able to donate money and recieve diamonds. If diamonds were tradeable in market like other resources are, there would be many benefits:
(1) More players would be able to get the earlier upgrades and thief guild invitations, if they are willing to spend the gold to buy diamonds.
(2) The players who donate would be able to get more gold for their diamonds than they get by using the current exchange rate. (Furthermore, selling diamonds in market wouldn't add any gold to the game, like the current method does. This would make for a slight increase in stability for the game economy.)
(3) Because of (1) and (2), more diamonds would be spent and 'purchased', meaning the game providers would get more donations. |
